ESPN - Guide to the 2024 men's college basketball coaching hot seat

The coaching carousel has regained its usual pace since the COVID-impacted cycle of 2020, when fewer than 30 coaching changes were made. There were 57 job changes in 2021, 60 in 2022 and 61 last year. We're currently at six openings, with another two or three that have interim coaches at the helm.

Not that it matters but Cliff Ellis retired, as opposed to getting fired.

I meant to go back and double check these as I thought one of the openings was for that reason, but couldn't remember who off the top of my head. And then I didn't.

Barclay Radebaugh stepped down mid-season similar to Mark
Turgeon (mutually agreed to part ways).

I have a pretty good story involving him.

Rumors seem to indicate that Porter Moser is going to take the DePaul job.

Ben McCollum may be in line for Missouri State.

Not directly related to us, but a couple of days ago SIU canned Bryan Mullins after he exceeded expectations.

Agreed! Kind of tough firing a former great player who has had only 1 losing season in conference or overall, in 5 years.

Swomo is the poster child of coaching carousel
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.
