Every time I read a Shockernet'r say F-KU or F-KSU, I remind myself that I hope that person never applies for a job where he has to work for, consult for, consult from, or supervise anyone from another university or even lack of any university. If you are that closed minded that everyone else except those that graduated from or attended Wichita State University should be F'd, even if under a coward's wrap of internet blogging, then I'm not sure you fit the type of fan that we want supporting our Shockers. Shape up and play decent!

I will never root for a team coached by Calipari. I feel almost the same way about Boeheim and Syracuse.
I am trying to look at the positive on how much the Chickenhawk run is helping the Wichita economy. Bars, restaurants, shirt sales. It hurts, but go KU.

My humble opinion is no.
Would part of the definition of a "true" Shocker fan be that they don't ever root for KU?
My brother graduated from KU law school, asked me if he could get any KU love for the younger brother, my answer, 'NO!"
Here is why a Shocker fan should root for UK; it denies KU a national title, and UK will have to give it back in a few years anyway! :)I think Pringles original intention was to make tennis balls... but on the day the rubber was supposed to show up a truckload of potatoes came. Pringles is a laid-back company, so they just said, "**** it, cut em up!" - MH

For me, the April Fool's joke would be saying I plan to root for KU. I'm no great admirer of Calipari, but as always, my second favorite team (behind the Shocks, of course) is whoever's playing KU on a given day. I don't plan to watch or listen, but I'll be happier afterwards if the Chickenhawks lose.

While an undergraduate at KU I never missed a game - was in the first 4 rows of students behind the bench. I try to get to Lawrence for a game once or twice a year! You can love both schools/programs! It is possible. That being said - WSU advancing in the Tournament would be more meaningful to me as a fan! But I cheered my heart out last night for my first alma mater!
But don't you dare tell me I'm not a true Shocker Fan!An “Old West” Texas analysis and summary of Mueller report and Congress’ efforts in one sentence:

Has Calipari, worm that he is, ever tried to turn Wichita State into the NCAA?
Go, UK.Last edited by another shocker; April 1, 2012, 06:50 PM.
