I've only seen Creighton as a long shot for the A10. But nothing very serious. Let's face it, without football, it probably won't happen

The bigger thing we need to face is we offer little to no draw to a conference. We are isolated location wise, have no football, and are a small market TV wise.
That is the case for many in the MVC. The first schools, if any, in the pecking order include Missouri State and Illinois State. Then UNI. Then us, Creighton, and Bradley.
That doesn't sit well. But it is fact.

I was just thinking, the XII could go with Memphis and maybe Houston. There's talk that if the SEC moves to 16, they could take West Virginia. Maybe the XII only adds one to stay at 10 if that happens. Or maybe they add Memphis and Houston to get to 12, but then if WVU leaves, I'm not sure where they'd reach out to next. Perhaps they'd make a play for Temple? A lot would depend on WVU, if they stay, I could see the XII reaching East with another couple of adds. If they leave, they may look more towards their footprint. Perhaps even reaching out to AFA again or maybe a CSU if they think there's potential there. Maybe take a shot at New Mexico. Memphis could still be in play even if they weren't searching for a group of eastern schools.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

Which means the WAC is pretty much dead. Keep an eye on Denver though. I still think that they could potentially be a nice addition by the MVC.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

If WVU wakes up and realizes these 1500 mile road trips they have to make 4 or 5 times a year puts them at a real competitive disadvantage, I bet they take an offer from the ACC or SEC. If B1G or SEC decide to go to 16, the XII is in serious trouble as I think they will get there by adding an OU or KU, and then the Pac 12 makes another play for Texas and friends and the XII is in deep trouble again. Could be a wild ride!

The XII should be ok for a decade or so based off of what I understand about their GoR deal. However, if all hell breaks loose that could go out the window. The only way the PAC goes to 16 is with Texas and three others. They'd prefer those three be OU, OSU and TT. They would gladly take Kansas if one of those other three weren't an option. But there really isn't anyone else they'd expand with.
The BIG probably wants to go east again if they go to 16. I've heard UNC and Virginia mentioned as well as Georgia Tech I think it was. I'm not sure UNC leaves the Tobaco crew unless things were to fall apart in the ACC. But that seems less likely if they pull off the UConn/L'Ville/Cincy deal. I'm not sure who else back east could be attractive to the BIG from an academic standpoint. I know Kansas would be in play if one or fewer teams to the east would be available.
To be honest, if all hell breaks lose I could see Kansas being in play for the PAC, BIG, ACC and possibly the SEC based on basketball alone. The real losers from the XII falling apart would be KSU and ISU. Texas will find a home somewhere and if not, could survive as an Indy. OU and OSU are a packaged deal and will end up in either the PAC or the SEC. Baylor could get left behind but could squeeze in somewhere. Tech is screwed unless Texas goes west. The PAC really has no interest in TT except to get Texas and bridge the gap a bit. KSU isn't attractive to the PAC or the BIG and I don't see the SEC or ACC taking them in either. ISU would end up in the MAC or some hodgepodge group of teams that are left from the BE, XII and maybe some pickups from CUSA and others.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

Which goes to show that the BE is still focused on markets and not results. Tulane is a great academic institution, but brings next to nothing to the table in football or basektball.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

Also, rumors are floating around the ECU will get a football only invite the the BE. Odd that it wouldn't be all sports and makes one wonder where they'll locate their other sports as CUSA doesn't want nonfootball members.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan
