There is offensive and there is common sense.

I think the vast of majority of Americans can see the difference. If they cannot, I would bet they can't figure out how to vote either.

A bit off topic, but offending a bunch of people that aren't citizens doesn't bother me either.

Doc, you just haven't learned how to feel extreme guilt over your success. You need to apologize to those not as smart or hard-working as you. Please allow King Obama to help you apologize by giving him all your money so that he may use it to send the NY Imam around the world, making us a laughingstock. Give the rest of your money to Hillary Clinton so she can build more mosques which celebrate the killing of U.S. citizens.

Now add in the fact that NY City port authority is not going to allow a Greek Orthodox church that was destroyed on 9/11 to rebuild.

Plus Pelosi says that anybody who desents should be investigated.

Has this country lost its mind?

Pelosi has definitely lost her mind. Is she going to demand an inquiry into the funding of any group that opposes anything? What a bufoon.

A Republican aide ridiculed Pelosi's claim that there was a "conspiracy" to oppose the project.

"If the speaker needs help finding the heart of the 'GOP GZM Conspiracy,' I urge her to ask Sasquatch," the aide told Fox News. "His office is behind the black helicopter hangar between the unicorn pen and the leprechaun's pot of gold."
I think that sums it up nicely.

Seriously? Even for Nancy Pelosi this is really beyond the pale. It is bizarre, deeply irresponsible, and even reckless. She’s become an embarrassment to the Congress and to her party.

Regardless of the election outcome, shouldn’t Democrats pick someone better to lead them?

              In her own words.

She joins with people that want to know where is the funding coming from for the opposition to the mosque.

Well, Nancy, for starters, I am right here. Come and get me, *****.

She also wants to know where the funding FOR the mosque is coming from.

Nancy, neither one is any of your damn business!

Is there any doubt that Pelosi and people of her ilk are anti-freedom fro anyone who doesn't agree with them?

                  No, there is not.

I am sure I will be accused of being a bigot and a racist, but I am the only one that felt like the teacher was talking down to me as a stupid 5 year old when the President "explained" the Constitution last week?

I thought his tone was insulting, arrogant and unbecoming of the leader of the free world.

But then again, since I disagree with most of the policies of the leadership, I am a right wing racist homophobe whackjob that clings to my religion and guns.

This is the group behind the mosque:

Emil Lukas is a painter out of Stockertown, PA. Represented by Sperone Westwater Gallery.

There is a letter to the President posted there from Rabbi Burt Visotzky supporting the building of the mosque, the President's position and I quote ".......helping ALL of our citizens achieve their basic rights such as healthcare, economic wellbeing.....".

For reals? There isn't a big Jewish population in Wichita so one doesn't have the opportunity to visit with as many as, say, in New York. I can't believe this is a popular stance within the Jewish community, BUT I am not trying to speak for them. I hope to get some insight from members of this fine forum.

                    Perhaps Coach Fogler is lurking?

It does seem like Jewish folk tend to vote Democrat. It could be that they see government "good works" as an extension of their faith.

But healthcare and economic well-being as a basic right? Someone forward him a copy of the original draft of the Declaration of Independence. (life, liberty and the pursuit of property)

I can't take credit for this comment, but it did make me laugh, very loudly.

"We have to BUILD the mosque before we know what's IN the mosque."

Ron Paul to Sunshine Patriots: Stop Your Demagogy About The NYC Mosque!

Some quotes from Ron Paul towards both the left and the right about the NYC Mosque controversy.

Is the controversy over building a mosque near ground zero a grand distraction or a grand opportunity? Or is it, once again, grandiose demagoguery?

It has been said, “Nero fiddled while Rome burned.” Are we not overly preoccupied with this controversy, now being used in various ways by grandstanding politicians? It looks to me like the politicians are “fiddling while the economy burns.”
...The fact that so much attention has been given the mosque debate, raises the question of just why and driven by whom?

In my opinion it has come from the neo-conservatives who demand continual war in the Middle East and Central Asia and are compelled to constantly justify it.

They never miss a chance to use hatred toward Muslims to rally support for the ill conceived preventative wars...
Conservatives are once again, unfortunately, failing to defend private property rights, a policy we claim to cherish. In addition conservatives missed a chance to challenge the hypocrisy of the left which now claims they defend property rights of Muslims, yet rarely if ever, the property rights of American private businesses.
The House Speaker is now treading on a slippery slope by demanding a Congressional investigation to find out just who is funding the mosque—a bold rejection of property rights, 1st Amendment rights, and the Rule of Law—in order to look tough against Islam.

This is all about hate and Islamaphobia.

We now have an epidemic of “sunshine patriots” on both the right and the left who are all for freedom, as long as there’s no controversy and nobody is offended.

Political demagoguery rules when truth and liberty are ignored.

As Mr. Obama buddy Imam Rauf goes around on his tour bad mouthing U.S. he might want to be thankful for his free speech that this country protects for him. He might find himself somewhere like:

                              1. In Russia - 3,000 islamic suspects have disappeared. Only 3 mosques are allowed in Moscow. Not to mention the genocide going on with the Chechans.

                              2. Germany has closen down Mosques of those associated with terrorism.

                              3. France has banned the burqa.

                              4. Chine is crushing their muslim Uighurs minority.

Or in a Muslim country where there is no free speech unless it has been approved before hand.

Politicians are grandstanding. It isn't a political issue.

I don't think this really has anything to do with justifying wars.

It's not really a property rights issue as nobody is saying they can't build it.

The Speaker is an idiot and the cries of Islamophobia are ridiculous
