The whole Boehner calling Cruz "Lucifer" is moronic. Boehner needs to just stop with that crap. If he wants to call out Cruz as uncooperative, fine. Just leave it at that. And to be honest, it's Cruz' history of not bowing to the establishment that makes him interesting.Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

Kung, I like Boehner about as much as I like Nancy Pelosi. Calling Ted Cruz an idiot would be an insult to idiots.
Ted singlehandedly (and rather petulantly) shut down the federal government and cost us taxpayers $24 billion dollars. He has refused to accept any responsibility for doing this. Subsequently, he conspired behind Boehner's back on other issues in an obvious attempt to undermine him. What would you expect Boehner to do? Ted is not a house member. He needs to respect Boehner's leadership and authority of Boehner's position, whether he likes him or not. What he should have done is publically agitate for Boehner's removal (or maybe even sponsor a caucus of house members as a vehicle for undermining Boehner), but other than that, what goes on in the House of Representatives is none of his business. He was elected to be a senator. Since he is my senator, I want him to do the job I sent him to Washington for (i.e. represent Texas) and not go around butting his nose into every nook and cranny that is not his responsibility.
I have never seen a senator interfere as much in house business as Ted. Ted reminds me of your typical out of control teen-ager. Goes out and gets drunk, brings the car home with dents and denies he did it. Gets failing grades in school and blames the teachers. Fails to accept responsibility for anything he does. Then tells everyone he's an honor student who is religious, so he never drinks.
I think Trump has him nailed spot on......'Lyin' Ted Cruz'.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

The neighborhood I live in was a very culturally mixed area (gays, minorities and so forth) when I moved into it 20 years ago. They were my neighbors and I found that most people will treat you the same way you treat them.
Here's an example: I was in Dallas the last few days for meetings. On the last day we went to a Meditteranian restaurant that was full of fundamentalist muslims...no, not the Al-Queida or ISIS types, but there were tables of women wearing the Chadors (?) - head scarves that you see so much. I would venture to guess there were probably 20 of them in the restaurant and it looked like most of them had some coin (it was in Frisco, Texas on Preston Road - a rather upscale area). One of the women in our meetings also wore a head scarf and was obviously Muslim. At first, she was standoffish to me, so I made a deliberate attempt to engage her and be kind to her. I found her to be extremely pleasant and I would bet my next paycheck that she is a great mother to her children if she has any.
My point is that once you get to know these people, other than the fact that they look different than you, when you get down to feelings, communications and opinions, if you don't talk politics, you might find you have a lot in common.
These experiences shape our thoughts, feelings and opinions. Since you may live in a rural area, you might not have been exposed to a multicultural environment and may have different feelings, thoughts and opinions.
And that's probably the most difficult part regarding putting labels on people. Plus, I have friends that are republican, we relate on a lot of issues after you get past some of the politics, and I have been known to vote for the person whom I feel is best qualified.
I made a mistake in voting for Cruz. I will not make that mistake again. I believe there are a lot of people in Texas who share my opinion.
I will apologize to people on this thread for writing a book, but I hope this answers your question.Last edited by shocka khan; April 29, 2016, 10:37 AM.

Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.
