Sorry SB you must pay the bills you accrued in fiscal 2012- 2013. If you have problem with spending Congress must spend less in fiscal 2013-21014. You dont pay your bills your in default.

Dude maybe you don't understand - but paying your bills actually means YOU REDUCE YOUR DEBT, NOT INCREASE IT.

Dude you, you dont understand , you ring up a bill you owe it. The Congress has already rung up this bill. If you dont like it call up your Congressman and set him straight to not ring up such and expensive bill in the future,\. Pay your bills!

KC, what's wrong with the GOP saying we're not raising the debt ceiling until we make real cuts to what we're spending? That's why it keeps going up, because we continue to raise the ceiling and then talk about cuts that never happen. Cuts and decisions need to be made before we agree to raise anything.

Hahaha, hey now where's your competitive spirit?

Looks like the forum only goes back to 2009. You got lucky unless @_kai_: can pull the tape!

Nothing wrong with being concerned with debt. The problem is when and where. The debt ceiling is in response to the debt enacted by Congress for fiscal year 2012 -2013. By trying to shut this down you are saying to your creditors and future creditors much less the world markets your unstable and maybe not be credit worthy. This plays havoc with the financial markets, int rates currency values, employment etc etc etc. If you are concerned the proper place is to address the Congress on its spending for 2013-2014. Ideology has been used in the past by both sides. They were wrong then and they are wrong now. Despite what you might think both sides are concerned with debt, but differ with the way it should be handled. In the end both sides will end up swallowing part of the bitter pill.

Dont think Sub that I am upset with some of your posts. I am glad someone who is young actually shows an interest much less a honest concern for the problems facing all of us.

Again he can pull the tapes, theres nothing there. First off your political forum doesnt go back that far and even if it did I wouldnt support this type of behavior by either party and neither should you.

There once was a man who had a beautiful daughter. When she was in high school, she got in with the wrong crowd and ended up on some hard core drugs, some stuff that would really mess her up. Her dad recognized her self destructive behavior and intervened. She hated him, and didn't see how she was destroying her life, even though she was tearing down everything that was good in her life.

I'll let you know later how the story ends.

Let me guess she was sexually abused by her father and the emotional distress drove her to alcohol and drugs. She later married her biker boyfriend (who beat her regularly)and had 3 children(one of each) who all were weened into a life of crime and prostitution at the age of six and above. One night a burglar broke in and stabbed the husband 136 times while the wife lay asleep next to him. The burglar was so good he/she used bleach to clean off any fingerprints and dna. If it werent for the detective skills of Joe Kenda "Homocide detective" and the keen sense of Nancy Grace no one would have seen the life insurance policy pointing the finger at the common law wife. She planned with her lesbian lover (the mistress of the late boyfriend) to collect big time and use the proceeds to start new lives, which were now available due to reasonable healthcare care costs and the and the gay marriage amendment in the state where they now lived after availing themselves of the discounts on priceline.com .

The trial went on for months. It even topped Honey Boo Boo in the ratings. The wife was charged with manslaughter for rolling over on her lover. She received 5 years(paroled in 2). She moved in with Casey Anthony and lives a life of quiet solitute in a location unknown. The wifes lover will be featured on "Lockup" and "Women behind bars" this Sunday on MSNBC

....But talk is the only action ever agreed to by Dems.

You are right - when and where. However, it's never when or where, just delays and more spending.

Just how much debt does the country need to accumulate before a 'when and where" finally occurs?

                                15 trillion?
Nope passed that one a couple of years ago.

                                16 Trillion
Nope again, surpassed that one too.

17 Trillion is up next & onto 20 trillion by the time your good friend BHO finally concludes his run of incompetence.

Again, just when and where is a good time to actually do something about the debt?
The real answer is, unfortunately, when the country is plunged into a huge depression, due to the amount of interest owed and the devaluation of the American dollar.

                                That is all.
Above all, make the right call.
