  • Trump Cabinet Hearings

We start today with Pete Hegseth.

Richard Blumenthal complaining about Hegseth misspending in his charity and running a deficit is rich.

Mazie Hirono is a buffoon. How a moron like this gets elected is stunning.

I thought Joni Ernst was tough but fair.

Blumenthal shakes so bad ....checks notes.....he's 78. I applaud and thank him for his Service in the Military. He's been in public office since graduating Harvard in the 70s. Somehow he's amassed a $100+ million wealth but is responsible for trillions and trillions of deficit spending. Being paid public salaries.....100 MILLION. But can't take enough of tax payer funds. What a ****ing joke.

Tim Kaine is an ass. Also been a grifter and an ass. Makes his money off taxpayers since birth. Can't die soon enough.

In general, Dems just continue to make fools of themselves.

      This is just another show.

Looks like Hegseth will make it through confirmation. Democrats couldn't land anything damaging.

As ShockerPrez this is just another political show. The Democrats know that their histrionics are not gong to change any confirmation votes to no. In fact, they have to know, or certainly should know, that it has just the opposite effect. So the show is simply for their voter base.

The guy's a total neophyte. He knows the caliber of his military issued sidearm though.

Trump doesn't want any "experts" working for him. He wants to be the smartest guy in the room. With the Hegseth pick, he's essentially putting a Ford dealership mechanic in the position of CEO. What could possibly go wrong?

I am just disappointed that we haven't had a few rape allegations from a high school party, or maybe even bringing up some woman from where Hegseth might have been deployed to say he had his way with her.

There are still a lot of cabinet appointee hearings to come, though. So maybe we'll see some before its all said and done.

                1) Do you think rape/sexual assault is wrong?

                2) What burden of proof do YOU require to believe any such charges?

My post is a little off-topic, but your comments generated some thoughts about the Kavanaugh hearing (which I'm assuming you were referencing), and how I feel about the allegations in light of my new UnPlugged thinking. Where there's smoke, there's likely fire would be the rational way to go about it. I'm guessing that Kavanaugh was a bit of a dirty bird, regardless if he participated in running a train on the old gal.

During the Kavanaugh trial I was FULLY indoctrinated, not marching one step until I'd received my orders from the Republican Party, or Faux Reality News. I took Trump's vote of approval as all I needed (I'm sure much like you all now). Of course Trump was eventually convicted of rape by a jury of his peers years later.... *ouch*

Bottom line? It pays to use YOUR brain in these matters and not someone else's.

You're going to wake up one day and regret all the effort and time wasted on this crusade.

And you will have not made the world a better place, much to your surprise.

I've already woken up. I think...

I'm not on a crusade, just sharing my views and challenging others in hopes of uncovering new truths.

I know I cannot MAKE the world a better place, I do think I am PART of a better place.

                      Unplug and come find me!

                          Oh for sure!

I need a team of SHARP technologists. Stat!

I've solved the markets, yet I'm still going to end up blowing my brains out due to operational bullshit.

Just got off a 2 hr conference call where we went line by line through the logic of my code.

Not "woke", but awakened, unindoctrinated, unencumbered.

It wasn't a comfortable process. And looking back it's kind of embarrassing how someone with my faculties could have ever become so deluded.

Blame it on my folks I guess. These things start young. Great people btw!

I wish Trump was a better person. Hopefully it won't matter. But it probably will. Birds of a feather...

                            I needed a solid 3rd choice.
