CA 13 REP John Duarte's lead stayed steady or grew between 2 and 3 thousand for many of the days as the count slowed over the 2 weeks since election day. Then, as they were running out of votes to count, BOOM, vote dump and it's basically tied. 100,885 to 100,658 a 227 lead for Duarte. Now just 3% of vote left to count. Maybe 6k votes. I wouldn't take 20-1 on Duarte at this point. The fix is in.

CA45 REP Michelle Steele fell behind on the last count and now finds herself behind 314 votes with still about 25K to count. 155,090 to 154,776. Wanna bet who wins this?

This can't be overlooked or forgotten. What it does, numbers wise, is change the "preset" electors from DEM 226 & GOP 219 to DEM 223 & GOP 222.


This assumes the only toss up states are GA, NC, PA, MI, WI, AZ & NV (obviously that can change). But that certainly makes things more difficult for the DEMs than it has been.


In the house there's probably not a big change.....except that RI loses one of only 2 seats which means it's gone. They can't gerrymander the same seats. CO would learn from their last mistake and likely "eliminate" a GOP seat (although that would likely make 2 districts more difficult to defend) and Minnesota the same, although again, it probably makes 2 new seats in that state a little tougher to defend. Texas and Florida would find the same choices. The likelihood is that the GOP would see a gain of 1 seat, maybe 2 or 3. And right now, every single one counts.

Our Republic has many layers of power. Trump will go in a different direction than half the country wants, but those wheels are going to grind slow. Maybe if there were 60 GOP Senators he could do more, but that's not the case.
