President Biden was asked by @GStephanopoulos if he watched last week’s debate: “I don't think I did, no.”

But I bet they go out of their way to make you think it happened tonight.
Maybe even not leaking "good comments" yet...which otherwise would certainly be happening at any moment.
Let the spin, begin.
When, describing the stresses he is under, Biden said, “Not only am I campaigning, but I’m running the world,”
Seen through the prism of television, Biden is unfortunately not merely losing the war against his opponent, but in a seemingly unwinnable position. He waited eight days to give a scant amount of time to a relatively sympathetic interviewer — and this was the result.
"It depends on -- on if the Lord Almighty comes down and tells me that, I might do that," Biden said.Last edited by SB Shock; July 6, 2024, 01:01 AM.

WATCH: Joe Biden's Big Interview With George Stephanopoulos Is Out, and It's an Absolute Trainwreck
https://redstate.com/bonchie/2024/07...e-out-n2176427
I could be wrong but I don't see how Joe stays in the race. I am wondering though if the Biden Family may not want to drag this out for as long as they can to try to "extract" the best financial deal they can. Okay, you want Joe gone what are you willing to do to make it worth our while.
Of course, if they overplay their hand the Dems could alwasy go the 25th amendment route and to try to get rid of him. That requires the consent of two-thirds of the House and the Senate.
If they try to go that route I wonder how cooperative the Republicans would be. They could just all vote present and that would leave Joe in place.
Most likely some kind of deal will be made and Joe will agree to end his candidacy although he may be allowed to finish out his current term. Right now though he is adamant that he is staying in. Again, that may mostly be a negotiating ploy. Although he does seem to be pretty delusional and is listiening primarily to the Worst Lady and his Ultra-Corrupt son. So who knows.

I can't help but wonder who's playing chess, and at what level.
The Dems are certainly not playing from a position of strength. But, their leadership are full of people with both elite level political clout and savvy.
Assuming that Obama, Pelosi, the Clintons, Schumer, even a diminished Biden, are just flapping away in the wind, hoping to find a decent result is a mistake and ignores all of their history. And yes, many of those folks are diminished in their mental capacity (Biden and Pelosi especially) but they are surrounded by dedicated and smart people that not only will defend their leaders but will defend and protect their own interests, to the bitter end.
I just wish I could figure out what game they are playing. George did Biden absolutely no favors yesterday. Was it a crème puff interview? To the extent that they both stayed the course and on point that Trump absolutely cannot be allowed to be President again, lest the entire human race comes to a certain and violent conclusion, and that Trump is as evil and corrupt individual as their is on this or any other planet, they both agree. But otherwise George painted Biden into a corner in which there were no good answers at times. And the question I cannot answer is why? George was absolutely reading from his marching orders from the Clintons and Obamas (and if you don't think he was, you're just part of the problem). Are they simply forcing Biden out, or is there a more subtle end game at play?
To me, I honestly don't care but I care about the United States having a real leader, not a puppet installed by a few dozen elites.
Say what you want about the GOP, and for that matter Trump, but at least there was a democratic process by which he won enough votes to be the nominee. Republicans across the country decided. Whomever the Dems decide to go with, Biden, Harris or someone else, it will be decided by a few elites, mostly folks that have gotten filthy rich ONLY because of their connections to government. People that have a job in the most expensive to live areas of the country, making less than 200K a year for their lives, yet somehow are worth hundreds of millions of dollars, having NEVER produced a single product or performed a single job outside political influence. Anyone can hit the lottery. Nobody can keep winning it time and time again without cheating.
1. If President Biden is unfit for running for another term, how is he fit for the Presidency today? Being President is about 1000 times more difficult. Who is running the country, today?
2. If he's only strong 8-10 hours a day and needs the other 14-16 hours to recover, then who is running the country during those times? Who is managing the President? I don't, and no one should, believe that the President makes every decision that affects everything. That's ridiculous. A good manager must surround themselves with competent people that can make great decisions. And the difference between that and having people that are actually running and deciding policy is a gray area, but these bastards have muddied that gray area into oblivions.
And isn't THAT not just a threat to Democracy, but the end of it? I've said it before, but for all their consternations about Trump destroying the country, THIS is IN FACT an actual coup and not just the threat of what might happen if Trump gets elected again.
The Dems LOVE to say that Trump is in it for himself, even in the face of reality. A reality that NONE of his issues would ever had happened were he not President once, or run 3 times. A reality where his net worth has gone down since he decided to run for President (while all other politicians get rich). A reality where he says he wishes Biden were good at his job, for the country, then he wouldn't be needed and could live the glorious life he wants. Ignore that, and convince yourself he's in it for himself, and no one else (for what benefit, I have zero idea but whatever).
From the interview last night:
GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: And if you stay in and Trump is elected and everything you're warning about comes to pass, how will you feel in January?
PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN: I'll feel as long as I gave it my all and I did the goodest job as I know I can do, that's what this is about. Look, George. Think of it this way. You've heard me say this before. I think the United States and the world is at an inflection point when the things that happen in the next several years are gonna determine what the next six, seven decades are gonna be like.
And who's gonna be able to hold NATO together like me? Who's gonna be able to be in a position where I'm able to keep the Pacific Basin in a position where we're-- we're at least checkmating China now? Who's gonna-- who's gonna do that? Who has that reach? Who has-- who knows all these pe…? We're gonna have, I guess a good way to judge me, is you're gonna have now the NATO conference here in the United States next week. Come listen. See what they say.
GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS: Mr. President, thanks for your time.
PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN: Thank you. Appreciate it.
Quote "I did the goodest job as I know I can do, that's what this is about".
Not the country, just him. That's what it is about. Out of his mouth.

PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN: Well, Yeah, I’m sure. Look. I mean, if the Lord Almighty came down and said, "Joe, get outta the race," I'd get outta the race. The Lord Almighty's not comin' down. I mean, these hypotheticals, George, if, I mean, it's all--
So.....it's God, then Joe. And Joe knows God isn't coming down to interject.
Holy ****ING ****. And these sons of bitches are worried about Trump?
