Menu expansion is the bane of fast food efficiency. Chick-fil-A has a limited menu. McDonald's has flirted with both approaches.

Yep. The guy who started Canes said the same thing. And I can attest Canes drive thru is lightning quick. He said he doesn't have any appetite for expanding the menu.

But a BBQ sauce would be nice, how hard could that be, man!

Not really unemployment, but the Economy

The Feds are totally discombobulated, and have even less of an idea of what's coming next. Inflation? Yes, and could be bad, but how much and how long? Unemployment benefits extended by Biden after they run out in September? I think yes (even though when we've gone out to eat which is rare, only half of the restaurant is being served, because of lack of workers, so we have lines anyway). Lot's on economic chaos and uncertainty with the federal spending hitting astronomical levels. Where does one go? Do you hide your money in gold?

Could we have another crash coming in the market? I think it's about to burst. Where does one go? Do you hide your money in gold?

Some of you economists, and probably more of us in the lay economist category, speak up.

Don’t believe we do, but eventually will. Interesting success story. I believe Cane was the founders dog. Momma WstateU’s favorite chicken place… there are several in KC area. The most basic menu you’ll find….

Crypto, gold, and real estate seem to be the best place for your money right now.

It might not be the sole reason, but it is a big reason. All it takes is some logical critical thinking to draw that comparison line between the two.

I disagree. Workers who are not bettering themselves through education or training and just demanding more money because they believe they are owed that or due that is not capitalism. That is more of a socialistic philosophy. Now, if said worker goes to his boss and says "Hey, I would like to make more money can you help me get training or learn a new skill so I can move up in the organization. I am willing to work hard and do whatever it takes." That would be capitalism.

It’s neither. Capitalism is the free exchange of goods (or in this case services) negotiated between two parties. Both parties have to agree.

To my understanding if you are on unemployment you are counted in the unemployed numbers. With unemployment rates in Kansas at 3.7% that shows that there are just not a lot of people sittin' on ass and getting a check. This is backed up by BLS data noting that Kansas has record numbers of people working Historically 5% was considered full employment though that number is regularly breached.

At 3.7% you are dealing with difficult to employ people.
