Anybody on here an expert on the Keystone Pipeline deal or perhaps in the refining business? You see, I suspect that the majority on this fine forum have no idea how the pipeline ultimately affects our country. We know it has environmental costs which we will bear. We know not how much. But oil is a natural resource and its supply onto the world markets directly influences the price, denominated in U.S. Dollars. Considering we are a net exporter of oil, how is it that we are able to assist a neighboring country who is in direct competition w/ us in the world marketplace and have it make sense for both countries?

You see, I suspect this Keystone Pipeline is benefitting Canada and a few major oil companies who have a massive lobbying presence in Washington and have the Republicans by the balls (Texas). So once the plan is in place, the talking points are distributed throughout the party and down to the propaganda surrogates; a.k.a., Limbaugh, Hannity, Laura, Levin, etc.

    It goes something like this:

ThE LeFt wants to kill the pipeline and ThOuSaNdZ of JoBz. They're just a bunch of Snowflake tree-huggers who believe in Global Warming... which is not real btw.

    'Merica! Trump! Oil!
Do your research. Then unplug. Don't be a puppet (or a parrot).

P.S. And let me know what you find if you really want to do the hard work of figuring out the pipeline deal for yourself.

P.P.S. Game Theory dictates that we do not assist Canada in harvesting their oil.

You’re the biggest puppet on the board, Cold. You are in bed with the left.

Which is fine. But the continuous denial is just weird. Almost like you’re scared to admit it.

It the oddest thing. You would think that Biden winning would have calmed him down but it like all his suppressed leftiness is finally exploding from having to pretend he was a "moderate" and had voted for trump.

          hahahahaha

Since you're a covid denier and you think that this is a 'great' project, just as long as it isn't in your backyard, I'd just thought I'd share the wealth. Besides, your kids are depressed, right? Wouldn't have anything to do with the teacher, right?

Hell, just let them go play in that dumptruck full of tar sand. It's harmless and that funny smell from the tar sand? The folks in Pasadena would say, that's the smell of money.

The oil companies will find a way to stick us with the bill, but we have subsidized them for years. So all you libertarians out there, please explain to me why an industry that is profitable, has been profitable for years and has oodles and oodles of reserves still needs poor little ole' me to bail them out?

This is just another bailout. We pay for Canada to send us their trash, the oil companies use it to create a few dozen superfund sites and then, when they're done, they dump it back on us.

Isn't that how crony capitalism works? Isn't that how you pick winners and losers in our economy? Isn't doing this for big oil sort of like 'draining the swamp' or am I confused?

It’s not him. It’s Kahhhmela and all of his team leaders in his ear. I dont think his history has shown this much extremism, unless he’s just plain losing it, which is also possible.

What? Running a dump truck of tar sand to Ruiz's apartment? I think he kinda' struck it down, but I can't confirm because he's in his safe space sulking.

Actually I think the tile ought to be "Biden Plans to Cancel Keystone Pipeline" which, predictably, would lead to an extensive conversation about the 'cancel culture' from all you folks that like to frame things up that way.....

Democrats win and this is what they turn into. Not much different from when they lose.

No one advises playing in it, and shame on you for suggesting children should do this.

We shouldn’t provide subsidies to companies, but that’s not really the issue here is it?
