    • FBI finds no conspiracy

The FBI has found scant evidence that the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol was the result of an organized plot to overturn the presidential election result, according to four current and former law enforcement officials.

Though federal officials have arrested more than 570 alleged participants, the FBI at this point believes the violence was not centrally coordinated by far-right groups or prominent supporters of then-President Donald Trump, according to the sources, who have been either directly involved in or briefed regularly on the wide-ranging investigations.

"Ninety to ninety-five percent of these are one-off cases," said a former senior law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation. "Then you have five percent, maybe, of these militia groups that were more closely organized. But there was no grand scheme with Roger Stone and Alex Jones and all of these people to storm the Capitol and take hostages."

        • Pelosi says that Rally protesters are coming back to praise those who wanted to kill. Other media called the rally protesters fascists, and insurrectionists.

          • As for the rally today, I hope it goes off peacefully. If there is violence I hope authorities step on it hard, no need to check party affiliations, just squash it fast. I’m kind of sick of tribal politics.

            • The left was either trolled or uncovered today. There basically was no gathering. For all the hoping and wishing of another "insurrection" it was probably the biggest nothing burger in the history of nothing burgers.

The press, giddy at the thought of another "riot" easily outnumbered the "protestors" 2-1 if not 10-1.

The intel of the left right now leaves an awful lot to be desired, it would appear.

The cathedral is attempting to create an enemy of a portion of the citizenry. Unfortunately for them, they do not have a handle on the whole of the press, and they have over-extended their boogeyman. It is easy to see through.

I do not think it would be as obvious what they were doing just 20 years ago.

Interesting the security measures the Capitol Police, all decked out in full riot gear and having put up the high security wall around the Capitol Building, took compared to what is going on down in Del Rio, Texas. I think I heard the migrant camp under the bridge at Del Rio had grown to 14,000. Wonder what the cost of security at the Capitol today was on a per demonstator basis (excluding all the undercover Feds in attendance).

                      • Judge Orders Release Of January 6 Defendant After Inspection Shows ‘Mistreatment Of Detainees’

Following an impromptu inspection of the D.C. jail, a federal judge has ordered the release of January 6 defendant, Christopher Worrell, over the mistreatment of detainees. The surprise inspection of the jail by U.S. Marshals took place last month, but the report from the inspection was not made public until Wednesday. Due to the findings, U.S. ...

Due to the findings, U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth said he has “‘zero confidence that the D.C. jail’ will provide the treatment correctly and not retaliate against Worrell,” who has cancer, CNN reported Wednesday.

Lamberth called the jail conditions “deplorable” and “beyond belief,” ordering Worrell transferred immediately to another jail and then released home to start cancer treatment, the report outlined.

Some 400 prisoners are being moved out of the jail after the “deplorable” conditions were uncovered. According to CNN, the Marshals’ report found that water was being shutoff in many cells “for punitive reasons” for days at a time, toilets were clogged, and an inmate who had been pepper-sprayed was “unable to wash the spray off for days, leading to an infection.”

Wonder if this is worth $450,000 to each of the prisoners?

                          • D.C. jail ordered U.S. marshals to leave after surprise inspections, judge says

Authorities at the D.C. jail ordered members of the U.S. Marshals Service to leave the facility after a team of deputy marshals spent several days last month conducting a surprise inspection of the jail and cataloguing “egregious” conditions, including the mistreatment of prisoners, a federal judge said Wednesday.

Speaking from the bench in U.S. District Court in Washington, Judge Royce C. Lamberth said he and other judges were briefed about the jail this week by the court’s acting U.S. marshal, Lamont J. Ruffin, who ordered the inspection. Ruffin’s findings led the Justice Department to announce that about400 inmates, being held at the jail in federal criminal cases, will be transferred to a penitentiary in Pennsylvania.

                            • If you read this article and watch the video of a man who many feel was urging Trump supporters to enter the Capitol after Trump’s speech. There were FBI members in the crowd, supposedly gathering intelligence and information on what the crowd was up to. Many suspect that Ray Epps was an FBI plant. When the FBI has been (including today in a Congressional Committee hearing by Senators) asked whether he was an FBI plant, including Attorney General, Merrick Garland, they refuse to comment on an investigation. The damaging evidence that Ray Epps was an FBI agent, is that while there are tons of video that show Epps guilt is that he has never been arrested.

I think he was absolutely a plant, whether the FBI or from someone or some other organization. He was clearly there to purposely rile people up and fuel the crowd.

Btw, great to see that Will Cain has escaped the liberal cesspool of ESPN.
