I think that's the problem. Several of you on here think I'm a Democrat and you're just lashing out because I don't subscribe to your Sean Hannity Groupthink Model. Sean Hannity might have an IQ below 90 btw. I can barely tolerate his gorilla-like gruntings long enough to flip the switch before careening into the ditch. It's like a ****ing commercial. Ben Shapiro on the other hand is just my kinda guy. He's substantive, original, and open-minded enough not to be labeled backwards (likely attributable to his youth).

I listen to Ben Shapiro and read his opinions. He’s one smart SOB. You may wish it, but you are no Ben Shapiro.

You should just declare yourself officially WOKE. That’s where you are now.

I don't need to wish anything my friend. My compass is finely tuned. I was born deaf to the siren songs of the herd. :)

        • The Governor leads the herd and CB follows. On the news, the Gov. mentions the Memorial Weekend and July 4 weekend as spreaders of Caronavirus but fails (as all Dems do), to mention all of the protesting and looting that has disregarded any social distancing. It’s just absurd and totally political.

Then they scream about not making it political when they are the ones making it completely political. Their blind hatred and foaming at the mouth desperation hasn’t worked for going on four years and it won’t work now either. It’s really sad to watch. They are the biggest hypocrites.

It’s a logical conclusion to reach when the fastest growing age group is 20-29 that the protests were likely the largest cause for the “spike” in cases. It’s not a race thing or a police thing. It’s logic. Yet they are so scared of the woke crowd they simply can’t bring themselves to talk about it.

Oh, it's real, all right. Perhaps you will be lucky enough that it won't get bad up there. Arguing about 50 people in the ICU and 12 people on ventilators? A drop in the water compared to what is happening in other places.

Wait until they start delivering refrigerated trucks or containers to your local hospitals to hold the bodies until the coroner can accept them at the morgue, or when you start getting military people coming in to relieve your beleaguered health care people.

Until then, just keep listening to the propaganda your favorite elected officials keep putting out. Make not wearing a mask political. Ignore and deny the advice of public health experts, because your guy solves these problems through 'gut feel'. Claim this is all a hoax because his gut told you it was.

Maybe you will have good luck and maybe you won't. As for me, I'm listening to science and experts.

And the rest of you look pretty dumb for not listening to them. Just as ridiculous, in your own precious way, as the people you ridicule. And just as 'woke'.

I don’t think anyone is arguing this isn’t real. I think the argument is that the risk/reward scenario isn’t being discussed. 7-10 million dead in the US from this virus this year isn’t the risk. Refrigerated trucks full of cadavers isn’t the risk. The true risk is a second virus on top of the flu for which we don’t have a vaccine. The real risk is that we can’t take care of high risk patients.

The issue with listening to “the scientists” is that the ones that are publishing papers are scientists in name only. These people have said YOU CANT BLOCK CHINESE TRAVEL. WE SHOULD HAVE BLOCKED CHINESE TRAVEL SOONER. DONT TOUCH ANYTHING. IT DIES WITHIN MINUTES ON SURFACES. HYDROCHLOROQUINN WILL KILL YOU. IT WILL CURE YOU. DONT PROTEST. PROTESTS ARE NECESSARY. They’ve said DO NOT WEAR A MASK! They’ve said YOU MUST WEAR A MASK. These scientists have shown gross incompetence, ignorance, and political bias. Everything about this is political. You shouldn’t try to club people for pointing that out.

I cannot see ANYTHING wrong with this at all. I mean... who's this fly-by-night organization called the CDC anyway??

The silver lining in all this is that we will likely see much less reported deaths going forward.

Is this actually happening in America?

                  Holy ****!

                  https://www.cnbc.com/2020/07/16/us-c...dc-to-hhs.html

Coronavirus data has already disappeared after Trump administration shifted control from CDC
Previously public data has already disappeared from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s website after the Trump administration quietly shifted control of the information to the Department of Health and Human Services.

Since the pandemic began, the CDC regularly published data on availability of hospital beds and intensive care units across the country. But Ryan Panchadsaram, who helps run a data-tracking site called Covid Exit Strategy, said that when he tried to collect the data from the CDC on Tuesday, it had disappeared.

“We were surprised because the modules that we normally go to were empty. The data wasn’t available and not there,” he said. “There was no warning.”
The CDC’s web page for data on available hospital and ICU beds has added a note that reads: “Data displayed on this page was submitted directly to CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) and does not include data submitted to other entities contracted by or within the federal government.”

“We don’t have this critical indicator anymore,” Panchadsaram said. “The intent of just switching the data streams towards HHS, that’s fine. But you got to keep the data that you’re sharing publicly still available and up to date.”

Panchadsaram said he and his team, which includes researchers from the Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy and from Resolve to Save Lives, a public health initiative led by former CDC director Dr. Tom Frieden, have been tracking the data since April.

Panchadsaram thinks of the project as something of a “progress bar” as they grade different states on the overall progress they’ve made in fighting Covid-19. Available hospital beds and ICU capacity is a key indicator they use to assess state performance, he added.

“It’s disappointing. It happened a lot quicker than expected,” he said. “The picture that we’re presenting to the world is incomplete.”

Other coronavirus researchers and public health specialists expressed concern because the policy change was announced so suddenly in the midst of a public health crisis that appears to be worsening.
I can't even believe what my eyes are reading. This is happening in America..

Am I supposed to trust the guy, who barely admits we are in a crisis, is going to maintain accurate data and release it to the public?

All I can say is thank God for Johns Hopkins. They've got their own database they maintain. They'll quickly shed light on any bullshit.

People's lives are at stake and you're ***** with the hospitalization numbers?

This is what the free press is for, to shine a light on any underhanded political activities. Suppression of truth is the beginning of the end in a Democracy.

I will say that this is the first time in 3 years that I am happy those rabid Libtard Fake News journalists are watching Trump like a hawk.

Chuck Woolery’s Twitter Account Disappears After His Son Apparently Comes Down With Coronavirus

Just days after his full-throated rejection of all things coronavirus was retweeted by President Donald Trump, former game show host Chuck Woolery’s Twitter account was no more.

It was unclear on Wedesday evening whether the disappearance was related to a widespread hack Twitter experienced earlier on Wednesday, or whether Twitter or Woolery himself removed the account.
Wow! It's been a bad week for the Covidiot Deniers. Talk about Karma. It doesn't matter if you don't believe in the Coronavirus, it believes in you. I do hope Chuck's son gets well quickly!

On Sunday Woolery wrote, “The most outrageous lies are the ones about Covid 19. Everyone is lying. The CDC, Media, Democrats, our Doctors, not all but most, that we are told to trust. I think it’s all about the election and keeping the economy from coming back, which is about the election. I’m sick of it.”
Sounds like something you'd hear right here on Shockernet doesn't it? :/

I don't get this argument at all. Have the scientists been wrong? Sure. That's literally part of the scientific method. Form a hypothesis, test, then adjust based on those results. Normally this can be done in a controlled environment. Yet they were thrust into making very public choices before being able to validate their conclusions. They used the data they had available and made the best suggestions based on that. That data was based on other previous "similar" viruses. My sister is a hospital based doctor that has had to deal with this. Her words were that this virus is so unpredictable. They don't know when someone comes in with it whether that person will be able to be sent home in a day or will be put on a ventilator by then. The data in the past wasn't helpful but they are starting to get enough real data to make better suggestions of how to control this.

So I don't get how you can "not trust" scientists because their suggestions change as their data changes. That doesn't make them wrong, that's what makes them right. They are evolving their potential solutions as the data matures.

Even worse people say to ignore scientists but then follow their favorite politician. You want to talk about bias??? Politicians careers are based on making it seem like they are right, whether they are or not. They won't change their stance but instead will fight anybody that disagrees with them and try to discredit them. That's literally what their careers are based on. So we should trust people who have a HUGE vested interest in making things seem better or worse than they actually are over the people whose careers are dedicated to finding solutions to things like pandemics ?? That's just idiotic. Has this been politicized? Absolutely. Both the right and the left have turned this into a political nightmare. Not the scientists that are trying to fight this.
