    I agree all around.

In last week's on-line chat, Bob Lutz mentioned something like he hadn't been in the arena yet. That's ridiculous. The city/county/arena management should be pimping the place like crazy to start getting folks jazzed about this resource we have all paid for. Looking at other regional arenas (Qwest, Sprint, Ford, etc.) the IBA is definitely too small to compete for some events.

Just asking... is it the Eagles job to promote the arena? I'm sure they would promote the heck out of it provided IBA pays for the advertising.
Anyone see Hartman Arena in the Eagle as it was being built?

"Sedgwick County addresses concerns over parking for arena" In the next area "Parking lot at new Hartman Arena almost complete"

"Sedgwick County trying to save money on arena" In the next area "Hartman using wind to help cover electric cost'

Not exact titles, but if you have read the paper (I know, who does that anymore) you could see these things about Hartman anytime there was any mention about IBA. And while IBA would get bold HL and text, Hartman would get nice photo to go with it.

I'm not sayin, I'm just sayin.

Besides, the Eagle should be lovin this. Imagine how easy it will be for reporters to get back into office after covering an event there....

No it is not their job. But I read the Tulsa-World Journal during the construction of the BOK Arena and it was much better.

Wichita always 'half steps' on anything they do. People on the city council and county commission are too 'small minded', and that's just one reason why Wichita will not grow up.

Brad Paisley, not exactly a good drawing card for the 1st event at the arena, I would rather have seen the Eagles there. (or Alabama) or Stevie Nicks or even Barbara Striesand or Mariah Carey or Celine Dion. Paisley just does not have the name recognition. Figures though, too small a performer in too small arena, figures .... lol
