After learning more of the details, it is clear that he went WAY over the line in several different respects, and never really tried to abide by requests to follow the rules and policies of posting on SN. This includes taking it beyond SN in ways that went too far as well. The ban stands. Please remember that SN is a privately owned entity that is open to the public, much like your favorite tavern. If you went to your watering hole and proceeded to trash everyone including the owner, you would be shown the door and asked to not return.

I don't know what's more funny and ironic; an entire forum preoccupied with a banned poster that hasn't posted for months, or a three day old thread calling for his return showing more posts (50 to 41) and views (1593 to 1489), than the fourteen day old stickied official goodbye thread of the twelve year founder who supposedly banned this poster. I fail to see an issue. There is a published set of guidelines that all members are instructed to read before posting. Cold ignored a number of the guidelines repeatedly for years. He continued to ignore them after being warned numerous times.

If he were kicked off without any warning, I might understand giving him a 2nd chance, but he was given numerous chances and continued to break the rules. While some of his posts were interesting, that does not change the fact that he thought he was above the rules of the Board.

I for one hate to see people out in public who completely ignore the laws, rules, etc. as if they believe they only apply to others and not to them.

If Cold (or anyone else) does not wish to follow the rules of this Board, he can always start his own Board and develop his own list of guidelines.
