I think the fact that we're on the second page with plenty of disagreement proves his value. And while this isn't a democracy, ultimately even the most despotic regime can only govern with the consent of the governed.

Don't worry everyone, I am here and observing, and giving time for people to speak. There are some things I need to know from Royal as well. I think it best that I NOT make a quick snap judgment without gaining as much info as possible.

As for the board behavior in general, I plan to stick to the policies as they have been. Feel free to agree and disagree with one another, just keep the language appropriate, keep the debate on issues and points not personal slams, and be very wise and careful with rumors and such concerning athletes/coaches personal lives. While there is no official affiliation between SN and WSU Athletics, I believe it to be in SN's best interests to be a "good neighbor" for lack of a better term. Also, on a personal level, since I am a season ticket holder AND the person with whom the SN buck ultimately stops, it is in my personal interest to keep a good working relationship with the athletic department.

I am looking at an upgrade of the board software, but I am still weighing pros and cons as to the necessity of such a thing. I am researching the means of making a mobile friendly version of SN available, but that may be months away. If you need a mobilized version of SN just for reading posts, with no guarantee of being able to login or hold a login, try using skweezer.com on your phone. I've tried it and its not bad, though I could not maintain an SN login.

As long as he can keep from questioning individuals' parentage and the like, what's the harm?

Well, since Cold has shown time and time again, with multiple warnings, that he can do nothing but personally insult people who disagree with him rather than engage in civil discourse I would say that the reason he was banned was that he could not, in fact, meet this requirement.

I'm not going to take a stand for or against reinstatement, but don't be under any illusions that Cold will have learned his lesson in any way, shape, or form.

Many many times I did not agree with Cold. I never counted but probably more times than not. I wasn't wild about his superior than thou disposition. But, I must not have been paying close enough attention because what was it that actually got him kicked off the board? A lot of people on here spout some pretty bad stuff that I did not notice on his posts.
