I seem to recall that President Obama’s his own budget projections forecast that next year the economy will grow by 3.4%. Which I hope will be the case but it certainly doesn’t explain why the vast majority of the “stimulus” funds already approved will be spent after the economy, by President Obama’s own assertion, will be in the midst of actual recovery.

Putting aside whether the first “stimulus” package was such a good idea to begin with, I suppose this means that Ms. Pelosi doesn’t agree with the President. Otherwise, why does she feel the need for a second stimulus package? :noidea:

Six of the 10 senators that requested the most earmark dollars were Republicans, according to Taxpayers for Common Sense, a non-partisan budget watchdog group. In the House, Republicans accounted for five of the top 10.
