It was an interesting article.

However it still blows my mind to hear economists try to argue that WW2 did not end the depression. They overlook the impact WW2 had on the worlds manfacturing centers and the tremendous impact on the demand for goods after the war. A demand created by the war that would not have existed without it, serviced largely by American companies whose factories were not only intact but largely in full operation and provided jobs for returning veterans. In a large sense, WW2 both created the market that brought us prosperity and destroyed our competition.

My point is that there is growing evidence that the real economic growth occured after WWII; after the govt's share of the economy was reduced from the 1930s and WWII.

For the most part I agree but I think he's a bit too optimistic in a turn around for this year.
