Leaf didn't play any NFL games prior to his selection. Cassell has 16 games under his belt with 10 wins of success. Leaf didn't have any of that. The NE offense was very good. They're defense was their problem that they want to shore up with the trade of Cassell. They are slow.

How's Vince Young been doing lately? :)

No one is a sure thing. It's easy to say that your not sold. I say that they have the best bet that they could have made. What do you say?

KC has more important issues to figure out and I'd like to see them figure those out.

A starting quarterback-CHECK

Improve the defense-Making some progress

Improve the offensive line-It is getting worse

Win the AFC West title-I'll pass

I disagree. Now they have a QB to build around. You sound like a Thigpen believer. He wasn't the long term answer. He didn't have the arm to do it and couldn't even see over the OL. His passes always went up and then down. Top QB's don't throw like that. I'm glad they went another route.

I'm not sold that they've found the future with Cassel.

We NEED OL help to improve both aspects of the offense.

We NEED another recieving option to help Bowe

We NEED a pass rushing DL

We NEED more LB help

We NEED even more OL help.

We NEED a RB as well.

ALL of those things have hurt us the past few years and haven't really been addressed.

As I've said in the past. Even the best QB couldn't have done much if any better with KC last year.

I think Pioli would disagree with you on that one. I think Cassel may be here for the long haul. This is not another Joe Montana signing by KC.

I said at least he is a fill-gap solution. I actually like Cassel as our future quaterback.
