Number three pick, who we gonna get? For a team that almost set (or did they set it) the record for least sacks in a season, clearly we need a pass rusher. Defense wins championships (I.E., Buccaneers, Ravens of note), we can be competitive with a great D' and an average offense.

Cowher turns down Browns, keeps hopes open for Chiefs as he did not rule out coaching somewhere in 2009.
Pioli in talks with Browns.
Bill Parcells has option to leave Miami and get full contract payout if team is sold.
The Bill and Bill show....anyone??

What?? Your record got progressively worse each year?

I still say Herm hasn't done as bad as many make it out to be considering the complete overhaul of the team and a number of injuries. We still lost 7 games by a TD or less and were in position in most. This team isn't that far off. I'd take Herm for another year if we couldn't get Cower.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

I think when Cowher's quote regarding Cleveland didn't rule out coaching in 2009, but instead only ruled out coaching the Browns....Herm's fate was decided.

I'm just saying that if they're confident that they could get Cower than I'm all for cutting ties with Herm. Otherwise, I'm all for letting him stay another year. If you take the entire body of work, not just the record, I think he's done a fairly decent job. I've never been a huge Herm fan, but right now, nobody outside of Cower that I've heard would make me feel any better about the future than Herm does.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

Herm's style of play has to go at minimum. It didn't work this year and won't next year either. Plus, he'll probably want to start Croyle again, which would solidify a 2-14 season once again.
Maybe Cowher is ready to return to KC. Parcells would be a good GM too. Something has to change and it definitely invovles Edwards and his staff.
