Dice-K walks two, throws a WP and gives up an RBI single in the first. Too bad he Kd two as well. Hopefully Banny pitches well and we can hand Dice-K his first loss.

Banny just gave up a Granny to Drew after 3 straight base hits. I'm going to go out on a limb and say he's still having problems keeping his pitches down.

I'm glad Boston isn't in our division. They're rediculous.

KC is trying to make it look respectable. Olivo just hit a 3 run shot to make it 8-11.

Olivo's been a nice pick-up, and Guillen is been playing good baseball for a while now. Hopefully it catches on with the rest of the team.

We left 11 runners on base to their 5. And Guillen and Olivo had all 8 RBIs.

Royals have now dropped 8 straight and are 7.5 back. Hillman had a closed door meeting with the team yesterday before the game. They're definitely not being patient at the plate. At least not from what I've heard since most of the games in the past week or so haven't been on TV.

The KC media is sooo fickle. Last week, they were all suggesting the Royals have a chance in the division, and should be a .500 club.

Now, they're blaming anyone worth blaming: hitting coach, the players (esp. Buck, Pena Jr., Tomko, and Teahen), and even Dayton Moore (they've suggested that Allard Baird wasn't given the same opportunities to succeed as Moore, and that Dayton needs to lock up some of these players--Greinke, Gordon, Butler)

The blame goes on the young team. Many of these players are still learning the game and how to approach it. We all knew we'd have a stretch or two like this but I expect things to turn around shortly. And I'd hoped that this team could finish near .500 and still think it's possible. It's a long season.

And Baird wouldn't have known what to do with the opportunities given to Moore. We've got a young team and the future looks good. I can't wait to see what we get in the draft.

There's still plenty of reason to get excited. I don't think anyone on here ever expected them to win the Central no matter how well they started.
