Any thoughts on the Royals going up against Miller tonight?

Hopefully Guillen's healthy enough to play in the field, because we'll need the right-handed bat. I really hope KC can have a good showing against Miller, and I hope I don't jinx us with the following comparison ...

Miller: 113 IP, 135 H, 1.40 K/BB, 8-8, 5.97 ERA, .295 BAA (.340 in 2008)
Hochevar: 42.1 IP, 38 H, 1.61 K/BB, 3-3, 3.40 ERA, .238 BAA (.237 in 2008)

John Buck is reported to not be with the team on the trip to Florida as his wife just gave birth to twins.

well at least thats what people on RC are saying.

And I see that MLB approves the leave by Buck and the Royals were able to call up Tupman just in case. If things go well, Matt won't play. But at least it means we have a full roster.

Soria finally gives up a run as Hermida takes him deep for a two run HR but he still gets the save as the Royals get a solid big win 7-6 against the Marlins.

That's the great thing about Soria. He went right back to work and attacked the strike zone. Then wasn't afraid the throw the curve again as the strikeout pitch to the next batter.

And Treynors (sp) play to end the top of the 9th was pretty impressive for FLA!

Well i guess Soria is human, it was nice to soria fight it off and strike out the final 2 batters for his 11th save

OMG i just looked at the standing and just noticed we are only 1.5 back out of first place. If we continue this win streak and play well, we can be in this division race for a while.

Maybe Banny shouldn't have come out for the 7th. Hanging that 0-2 curve ball is killer. He'd pitched very well up until then.

Did anyone see the collision between DeJesus and Gathright? I was pretty worried about that one. It looked pretty bad.

It is great to see them lock him up. Greinke should be next, but I think they might wait to do that until the offseason and just let him concentrate on pitching during the season, as to not mess with his head. The guys on Sports Radio 810 were really happy about the Soria deal and were surprised as they didn't know anything was in the works, but they said that is how Dayton Moore likes to do things. Big series with the BoSox starting tonight, the Royals could use this as a little measuring stick to see how they stack up against one of the AL's best teams, should be fun.

The Soria deal is HUGE. There's some nice young pitching in and around KC. I don't know what to expect as a whole from this season, but it's been fun to watch so far. It'll be interesting to see how this next series goes.

Red Sox Lester has a no hitter against Royals going into bottom of the 8th.

Cox Wichita not showing game but ESPN is going to show 9th inning.

Royals got No-hit. That's never a good thing. Only had 2 base runners all night? I think they said Lester had 2 walks and 9 Ks. Only threw 130 pitches. Plus that was the 4th no-no for the Red Sox since 2001.
