I know I'm a cynical old bastard but it amazes me that some folks on here are so slow to recognize a troll. @ShockerFever: seems to have a good dose of that cynicism as well and I like that he's here to serve that purpose.

I'm not slow, I'm skeptical. I haven't seen anything he did to earn a ban, except to promote himself and probably over-disclose. And that is not any worse than the Tyler Brown bullshit we had to endure on the recruiting pages the last few weeks. In fact, if anything, it was almost exactly the same situation.

I think some people jump to conclusions without a through review or grasp of the facts, others are too intellectually lazy to actually go through the mechanics of reviewing, analyzing and deciding for themselves.

As for myself, I asked several hours ago what exact posts and behavior made anyone think he was a pedophile and what actions specifically got him banned.

I got back exactly ZERO. So there's that, too.

I've been lurking for a while and I just had to make a profile to comment on this and sorry to drudge this back up. I'm disgusted by the way you guys handled Uncle Mike. Calling him a pedophile and permabanning him when all he did was comment his love for the Shockers. I'm very disappointed on how he was handled. Makes us seem like middle schoolers who want to look cool in front of the new cool kids. Every fan base has those weird fans that come out of the woodwork. We should embrace Mikes love for the Shockers because we all love the Shockers. GO SHOX!!!!!!!!!

So I just made an account this morning, and didn't know what this "Uncle Mike" was until just now when it rolled back to the top. I went through some of his stuff and it's actually pretty funny. Creepy....yes slightly....but hey we're all weird in our own sense. Not sure he/she earned a ban.
