I don't know if this is allowed here but me and my buddy have started a GoFundMe campaign to open up a pizzeria bakery. We want to open it around the WSU campus but we need to get the word out and the funds out to be able to do this. What college kid doesn't love pizza and a pie or calzone and cheesecake. The possibilities are endless with a pizzeria bakery, plus being organic and fresh is a major + on the health part, but you wouldn't be able to tell it was from the way we make them. Well if you would let to help support this please visit our gofundme campaign page @ https://www.gofundme.com/bpc6v6vg and be sure to like and share our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/CoDough-Piz...92807717450874

Ok, at the risk of sounding like a complete ass, I'm going to say it.
Why?
And I have several whys........Why should we give money to you so that you can make money? I know I'm old and don't realize how young people do things, but why should anyone give you money, just so you can make money?
I get having your friends and family help you out and that's how a lot of people get their start. But to me, again like an out of touch old person, it just seems like an easy way to get money that's not yours.
Don't misunderstand me. I WANT you to succeed. But I want you to succeed because it's YOUR entrepreneurial spirit, drive and effort. Not because someone else staked you to an easy job.
And frankly, if you get a start with little or no skin in the game, if things go south, what's keeping you around? If you lose $20k, what's the big deal? It wasn't your money anyway.
Like I said, I hope you sell a million pizzas. I don't even really have a problem with the raising money part....but give me a REASON to give you the money vs just asking for it.
And I've learned that you generally will get a better response if you take the time to write something correctly. It's not "me and my buddy" it's "my buddy and I" and I think you meant like instead of let towards the end.
Think about it, if that's the effort you're going to put into your pies.................

I echo what Doc said. I really like the concept. I hope it goes well. You just might want to alter your approach of gathering support.78-65

I too would be glad to support this business... By buying a delicious pizza once it is open. I am looking forward to seeing a new venture near campus and it's a great idea. Could be stiff competition but how cool would it be to have a second great pizza place born out of the WSU campus. The idea of going high end and organic is one of the only ways to defeat a saturated market with cheap crappy pizzas everywhere, so you are on the right track. Be sure to stay open 24-7 because a college campus will be calling you all night long. Be prepared for a LOT of late nights and hard work. That's the key to success. Best of luck to you!

I don't disagree with the comments made on this. In my estimation they are valid especially the grammar and spelling. However, asking for investors on the Internet is probably legally a very tricky thing. It's one thing to ask grandpa and friends to invest money, but to go online and ask for investors and making representations about your products and services could lead to legal issues if it goes sour. Just my thoughts.Last edited by Shocker-maniac; December 7, 2015, 10:38 PM.ShockerNet is a rat infested cess pool.
