Of course, the real concern is the entire state of Kansas sucking so bad in basketball right now that we're about to shift the orbit of the moon, and that's going to make all these other man made problems look like baby crap compared to that.

Yes, some concern but no panic. There has been some restrictions placed on the waste water disposal and I believe these kind of events can trigger additional restrictions although I don't know exactly how those new regulations work and those can vary from state to state.
Of course, drilling activity has slowed greatly over the past year or so as oil prices have declined precipitously. However, wells already in place continue to produce salt water that requires disposal. That would also seem to support the theory that it is the salt water disposal that is the problem and not the drilling.
I know it's possible to desalinate ocean water. Not sure about the waste water produced as a by-product of oil and gas drilling though. There may be more minerals in that water that would need to be removed other than just salt although I don't know the answer to that.Last edited by 1972Shocker; November 20, 2015, 05:07 PM.

Since the one near Medford, OK yesterday around 4:30 pm, there have been six more in that area. Two right after that first one, 3.1 and 3.9, then four more in the 2.5 to 2.7 range. Apparently one of those smaller ones was around 8 am this morning.Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind. ~Dr. Seuss
