Well I didn't see that coming! Nice job Royals. That has to be demoralizing to the Blue Jays. It was done playing Royals baseball, timely hitting, defense, just enough starting pitching and a lock down bullpen. Chris Young was good enough, which was all you could ask of him. Cueto needs to take notes. There were so many positives about this game, the biggest is that it is 3-1 in the series. Maybe Pete Rose will be right afterall, Royals in 5. Let's go Royals!

There are lots of things we dont see eye to eye with. And largely they go unsaid because as you said "opinions".
But this right here is something that you should never EVER admit to in public ever again.

Generally speaking, as a society we are lost souls. Thanks for sharing the link.

Personally, I don't really care rather Joe Buck calls the games or not, I prefer to watch the tube and listen to the radio. When running or work gets in the way, I listen to Denny & Crew on the radio or my MLB At-Bat stream.

Herrera in the game for 5 perfect outs....let's pull him...but instead of putting in our closer to get the last six, let's put in the worst guy we've got in our bullpen and see if he can give up the lead...

Madson isn't the worst guy, but all his fastballs were up. Ned should have seen it coming and got him out of there after Donaldson K'd.

You're probably right. He's probably not the worst, but given the timing, he was the the absolute worst of the three available options. On the other hand, I'm not sure I wouldn't prefer Hochaver or Duffy to Madsen against this lineup.

Madson shouldn't be the subject of discussion at all. However, in that situation, I was definitely saying "Put in Davis" before the 8th inning. I'm not a Yost hater, but he made a mistake in that situation. Davis is the best and you go with the best to end the Series in Game Six.

Joe Buck and his infatuation with Bumgardner last year was over the top. My wife hates him almost as much as she hates Chris Collinsworth (she's a Cowboys fan). None the less, he was setting a narrative for the nation, not KC, and Bumgardner was impressive.

The new narrative is that the Mets have such great pitching arms(they really do have great young pitchers) that the Royals don't have a chance. They've been only talking about the Mets pitching.

Royals have been disrespected all season, yet they continue to take care of business and win.

Let the narrative stay the same.

I remember earlier this summer that Andy Katz (of all people) was doing an Outside the Lines segment on how baseball circles were making the Royals out as now being considered arrogant, not the lovable "little engine that could" title that they had in the 2014 postseason run. I remember raising an eyebrow at that assertion, wondering when ESPN ran a scathing report about the mid-2000s Red Sox being colossal asshats. I must have missed that report.

The other annoying thing is that some of the same people in the KC area who agree that the Royals seem to get discounted by the national media are also Beaker fans...and cannot possibly recognize the similarities between the baseball national media and the college basketball national media.

And this is why I'm pretty much indifferent about the Royals. I won't actively root against them but I just can't seem to cheer for them either, knowing that half of their fanbase are JoCo assclowns who bag on WSU whenever possible.

                            ... No really, deuces.

                            • So happy to see the Royals in the series again. Looking forward to them finishing the job this time, as I hate the Mutts.

                              • Royals added Raul Mondesi, Jr. to the roster. He's never played above AA. If he gets in a game he'll be the first player to ever debut in the World Series.
