Joy is a nice story and I just love Jennifer Lawrence. But, after the terrific love story with Lawrence and Bradley Cooper in Silver Linings Playbook, this one with them is a little lacking.

Entertaining, yes. But could have been more original.
I would agree with this. A lot of scene and plot duplication. The next movie looks like it will borrow more plot from Empire Strikes Back.

I have seen stuff that contradicts this. Supposedly TFA was a tribute to fans more than anything, and the next two of the trilogy will not mimic the OT. Rather, a heavy leaning on the imagery from the books (which was alluded to in TFA) will be the focus of the Star Wars films going forward.

Saw the Hateful Eight in 70mm. It was a pretty neat experience and not a bad movie. Liked some of his other movies more, though.

I saw it and liked it. Still don't understand what 70 mm is and how it is different, though.

its like the difference between digitally downloading an album and listening to it on vinyl.

Both of the other posts responding to you are good explanations of the difference. With this movie, it's also a pretty cool atmosphere. They don't show any movie trailers before the movie starts. There's just an overture that plays for a few minutes and it starts right into the movie. There's also an intermission. Everyone got a booklet with information on the actors and the movie. And, at least here in St Louis anyway, it feels like every movie I go to, parents have brought their young children to a totally inappropriate movie. Since everyone at this movie requested to see it in 70mm (since it was playing in a separate theater in regular digital), it felt like the crowd was really into the movie. I didn't see any texting or crying children, no one got up during the movie since there was an intermission, etc.

If you saw it in Wichita then it was digital. Only place that has it in 70mm is in Leawood.

I just saw 13 Hours. A movie about some very brave Americans and a stupid, bumbling, lying, and incompetent government. I thought the movie was entertaining and well done.
