Originally posted by jdshock View PostBoth of the other posts responding to you are good explanations of the difference. With this movie, it's also a pretty cool atmosphere. They don't show any movie trailers before the movie starts. There's just an overture that plays for a few minutes and it starts right into the movie. There's also an intermission. Everyone got a booklet with information on the actors and the movie. And, at least here in St Louis anyway, it feels like every movie I go to, parents have brought their young children to a totally inappropriate movie. Since everyone at this movie requested to see it in 70mm (since it was playing in a separate theater in regular digital), it felt like the crowd was really into the movie. I didn't see any texting or crying children, no one got up during the movie since there was an intermission, etc.
