As long as he keeps hitting balls like that, he can "psych" whoever he wants.

Wade Davis is not human. I was about to accept that today was the day he finally came up short. He strikes out Vogt, one of the ALs best hitters and induces a double play to get out of the jam. Stunning reversal. Nice to see the A's hopes crushed like that. One quick note before we present the rankings: With Wichita State’s move to the American Athletic Conference, the Shockers have moved out of the mid-major club. We wish the Shockers well against Cincinnati, UConn, SMU, and more.

I screamed at the television when Salvy swung at ball 4 and then he crushed the next pitch to left. What do I know? Not much. But again, Wade davis is a cyborg. One quick note before we present the rankings: With Wichita State’s move to the American Athletic Conference, the Shockers have moved out of the mid-major club. The Royals are 15-9 in June (2 games left). The schedule had 11 @ home and 15 away. Although it was mostly not vs.top tier teams, still very good. It is the first time they have been 16 gams above .500 before the All-Star break since 1980.
July switches the other way with lots of home games vs. better teams.
I sure would like to see a move for a #2 or #3 starter and hope Ventura comes back strong. Great work by Young and Blanton so far.

The same logic has been applied to making the playoffs but not getting to the WS. I believe two teams defied it just last year.

By the way, I don't mean that they don't have a chance in a short series, but the odds are against them unless they get that "ACE" like Bumgarner for San Francisco last year.

It is rumored that his mother is seriously ill. Just what I have picked up from several Royal sites. One quick note before we present the rankings: With Wichita State’s move to the American Athletic Conference, the Shockers have moved out of the mid-major club. The days since Gordon's injury shows why this Royals team is so good. Players step up when needed. Orlando and Dyson have done great as a platoon. I don't expect them to replicate Alex's offensive production or defense over the long-haul, but they are doing very well at minimizing the impact of being Gordon-less.
18 over at the all-star break. Amazing.
