I'm not talking about Hosmer getting hits. I'm talking about his APPROACH. Pitchers constantly pitch him outside of the strike zone. They don't have to throw him strikes because he swings (he swings so hard and wild)at so many pitches that are tough to hit. Therefore he doesn't get any walks nor pitches that he can put into play.

I'm sure that his hitting coaches are telling him but he doesn't listen to others and is hard headed. He's been a great hitter for so many years at lower levels because pitchers didn't have the talent like MLB. If he continues this at least Scott Boros won't be able to hold up the Royals for top dollars because Hosmer won't be a highly sought out free agent. Of course, his hitting will continue to be average at best instead of the top hitting status that he has the talent to be.

He will never be a hitting superstar and will remain an average hitter until he solves this problem. At some point, Yost needs toove him lower in the order (6 or 7).
Big 3-run HR in the 3rd tonight. Reached base and scored as the lead off hitter in the 5th too.

        162-0 still possible.
One quick note before we present the rankings: With Wichita State’s move to the American Athletic Conference, the Shockers have moved out of the mid-major club. We wish the Shockers well against Cincinnati, UConn, SMU, and more.

If ESPN's box score is correct, something needs to change regarding a Blown Save/Hold.

Duffy gives up a double, then a single to put men on 1st and 3rd, nobody out, and KC up 5-4. Frasor comes in getting the Sox out 1, 2, 3, with a sac fly (run scored to tie) and 2 strike outs and gets a B by his name for his efforts.

What a great start to the season for KC.

This could be another great year for baseball.

I actually was not frustrated last night with Hos. His approach was pretty good. He only swung at one pitch he shouldn't have and actually let a couple of tough borderline pitches go. Last year as a team they had the fewest walks in MLB and yesterday they actually had 2-3 walks. With14 hits and two homers yesterday went well again. It's a great start.

Volquez being efficient so far today with 25 pitches in three innings.

Moose sac bunted again to help KC Royal-out a run.

Salvy sends out another float in KC power parade. The Royals may finally hand Danks a loss, which has never happened. 4-0.

Even with the sample size caveat, Volquez has only had 1 other 8 inning 1 walk or less outing in his career. That is a very encouraging debut.

                            4-0. What a great start.

Royals have now won 13 straight against the AL (going back to last season).

What an amazing last inning by Wade Davis.

                              3-pitch strikeout. 4-pitch-walk. 3-pitch strikeout. 4-pitch strikeout.

I can't believe all other games have finished, and this Red Sox/Yankees game is still going on..

I've been watching/listening to this game for 6 1/2 hours now..
