I am really jazzed about this. Just returned my cable box to Time Warner...still have to rely on them for internet (for now), but never again for television. It was also announced this morning that AMC was added to the core package for Sling.

ESPN/2/U/ESPN News/Goal Line/Bases Loaded/Buzzer Beater/SEC Network is a pretty solid sports package. I had the U and ESPN News under my current standard HD package, but adding Goal Line/Bases Loaded/Buzzer Beater/SEC Network would have run an extra $12 by itself (in addition to the $99+box rental I was already doling out). Getting these plus AMC/TBS/TNT/Travel Channel/HGTV (I like House Hunters, don't judge)/etc. for just $25 feels pretty great.

I got a thumb drive Roku to use in the upstairs TV's....... It picks up the signal fine from the basement router. I have a dual band router , and set the new Roku up with the other band , and tried to stream 2 channels simultaneously , and it would work for about 5 secs , and then come up with error message that already streaming......... Anyway , still happy with one stream......

            From Sling TV's website:

Can I watch Sling TV on multiple devices?

There are no limits to the number of devices you stream on with Sling TV. Download the Sling TV app on all of your devices that we support. While you are able to stream on all these devices, customers have the option to only stream Sling TV on one device at a time. Sling International customers have the option to stream international content on up to three devices at a time.

I bought the Roku stick today, and was able to stream Sling TV to my TV. The picture quality is very good. I agree with earlier comments that it is near HD quality. I did run into a glitch several times while watching ESPN where the program would stop, and an error message would display that said something like the playback function is not authorized. I'm guessing that this happened to me about 7 to 10 times in an hour or so. I did not encounter this while watching ESPN2 and ESPNU. Hopefully it is was a small glitch that will be resolved.

Adding AMC might get me to begin thinking about it. Still not sure I'm ready to cut the cord. Does it include the regional Fox Sports? No Fox Sports KC, no Royals games, no deal.

Last night's game was not available- they are still working out the kinks with granting ESPN3 access via the WatchESPN app. Their customer service said it should be resolved soon.

A heads up if you are still in your trial period and plan on subscribing- if you're willing to pay upfront for 3 months of service, you can call them and get a coupon code for a free Amazon Fire TV Stick or $50 off Amazon Fire TV. Same offer applies if you are a new subscriber.

We already have Fire TV but now have the stick coming in the mail for the wall-mounted tv. Pretty cool.

ESPN3 is working now for Sling customers, so it can be viewed via the WatchESPN App on Roku or FireTV.

edit: I just realized you might be asking if the blackout restrictions apply? I am guessing they do, but living in Dallas it wouldn't affect me so not entirely sure if their filters have caught it yet.
