Shouldn't this thread be in the Off-topic forum? I'm pretty sure he's not on the team or associated with the team.

As for myself, I was surprised he lasted as long as he did, and I think the only reason there's still any question about him is that he had -- and obviously still has -- a few persistent and faithful advocates like Ricky who want him to get paroled. To each his own, I guess.

It's obvious the moderators don't lack mercy, because Fever is back after his time in detention; it's just a sign of how bad Cold was, and how often, that he's still gone.

I try to refrain from getting my panties in a wad or suffer aingst from too much starch in my collar over posts. I do not ignore in a mechanical sense. I just roll on by the posts, which I do not want to read. It works just fine for me.

See there is hope for this country as far right as I am, I agree with you.

                  Ricardo:

You can quote bible verses until you're blue in the face, but without penance and a true desire to improve oneself, forgiveness is empty. He's been banned twice. Insanity is defined as doing the same thing over and over again, hoping for a different result.

I don't think cold added anything positive to this board. As much as I enjoy your posts, I'm going to disagree on this one.

I do not mind differing opinions at all. Thanks for your post

                      Ricky,

                      All have indeed sinned.
                      Some repent, some don’t.
                      Repentance matters.
Any evidence Cold has changed his ways?
To let him back in otherwise would be foolish.

Liked, but only because of the self-deprecating humor. As a fairly new member of SN, I don't really know the history. I get amused by the back-and-forth that occurs on this forum and others for that matter but try to avoid engaging if at all possible (and yet, here I am). With some of the personal attacks on here, you'd think we're a bunch of Shiites and Sunnis.

Some folks are real good at giving an opinion or view without attacking someone else's view. Others have thin skins and see an argument against their point as a personal attack even when an attack didn't occur. And yet still others actually revel in attacking others or poking others in an effort to provoke confrontation. Ah, the interwebz, which gives us all a forum to speak our minds, whether their sane or not, reasoned or argumentative, fact-based or pure fiction and speculation.

But Cold must have been some sort of character to warrant his own thread with at least 40 comments!

No doubt Cold was unique but I just don't get the whole Cold PR/groupie club. Can someone enlighten me?

In short, it is not complicated.

Some like him and some do not.

                              The underlying reasons are diverse.

He was that funny. He was also that knowledgable as a fan.

He was an extremely good poster on his good days. I laughed out loud more often when he was around. That's what I miss.

With Sub, I really miss how active he kept the board going. He was an interesting and diverse poster. I was sorry he left, too, but I always had the impression he got a little too mad at certain people and really should have just stuck around.

I always just assume there must be a lot of PM's that go a lot deeper between people that I never see.

Bottom line: I'm not that smart, cool or interesting. They were, and the board needs those that are. I can forgive brashness if it means I get to be informed and entertained :)
