Belgium is really good. A couple other players of theirs I like, didn't see the pitch today either. The Assman

Now on to Australia/Netherlands. If you didn't watch this game you missed one of the best of the tournament. And Australia's Cahill may have had the goal of the tournament. Certainly it's the best I have seen so far. I won't go so far as to say the Dutch got lucky, but the Aussies gave them all they could handle and then some.Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

No doubt, @Kung Wu:. A very entertaining game and for me Cahill's goal is the goal of the tournament so far. I really felt Australia deserved a point and it was disappointing to see them lose.
Nothing flashy today, but the first 2 games should be very entertaining. Japan v Greece late? Eh.....but I could watch Honda play pretty much any day of the week.

One question @WuDrWu: ... can the USA hold Germany to less than a 4 goal differential and at least draw with Portugal? I am actually feeling decent about both prospects. Coach Klinsmann is a stud.Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

Portugal has already lost Pepe to the red, and Christiano Ronaldo's status is up in the air bc of injury. I've read he left training early. If Portugal's bags are packed already the US should very well be able to atleast get a point.
Germany won't need to beat the US after they handle Ghana. If all the US needs to do is avoid giving up 4 goals Klinnsman will start a defensive lineup and park the bus. I like our chances of advancing at this point.

If we draw with Portugal we need to keep Germany from smoking us. If our midfield doesn't value the ball and continues to cough it up like they did against Ghana in the second half we absolutely could get smoked by more than 4 points to Germany. We were SO fortunate that Ghana couldn't even finish a happy meal that last game.Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

Brooks finishes the one header chance we have and Ghana puts 4-5 just over the crossbar. Very fortunate Ghana didn't equalize much sooner.
After 3 players had hamstring problems last game I'm a little concerned with our next game being in the humidity of the Amazon.
Bradley needs to do better. We can't lose the posession battle by 20 percent and expect these 2 teams to not finish their chances.
