  • Tell me about how wichita has changed since 1997

I grew up in the Andale and Maize area. I left in 1997 and havent looked back. A few things I miss: The Cedar, Sub and Stuff, Station Square, late night eating at the Taco Bell in front of Cinema West, and Biscuits and gravy from Gerards (goddard area, I know), and T-95.

Things I dont miss: Dillons, the smell of that awful slaughter house, vomiting behind The Cedar (damn you MGD fish bowls), snow.

Back when there was nothingness and a 7-11.

I'd give anything for a Sub n' Stuff.

Their subs were awesome but those cheese fries.... wow.

All the chicks around here are SMOKIN HOT now. There's night life on every corner. The crime rate is negative -- meaning there are more cub scouts helping old ladies cross the street than criminals. There are so many jobs you pick your own salary. The Shockers are the best team in the state. The cops don't write speeding tickets anymore because nobody goes more than 5 over. The tax rate has been reduced to zero. You can sell OR buy your house in a week. Fast food is healthy here in Wichita now a days.

That's just some of the things I can think of that's happened since you left.

I was with you up to here. I can buy all the rest of it. But there is no way the city had the air force drop cluster bombs on west street.
