Things I dont miss: Dillons, the smell of that awful slaughter house, vomiting behind The Cedar (damn you MGD fish bowls), snow.
T-95 is dead, essentially. Unless you have a mullet and live in a single-wide somewhere you aren't a listener. In HS (sounds like we might be about the same age) it was all I listened to. Now, I don't recall the last time I tuned into T-95. If they re-named the station to WT-95 it would be very fitting, if you know what I mean.

Nothing wrong with Dillons. Their new build model these days is huge, clean, bright.

No idea what slaughterhouse you are referring to.

-We've gained another good brewpub in Wichita Brewing Company.
        -Koch Arena exists.
-Wichita State now leases the Kansas Coliseum for their NIAR program. No longer will you have to pee into a trough during monster truck show intermissions.
-There's an East Warren as well as a Downtown Warren. The West theatre has an excessive IMAX.
-The Donut Whole has some of the best donuts around.
-We have a downtown arena with seats perfectly engineered for people under five feet tall without legs.
-Wichita State has had quite a bit of renovation/remodeling. The student center is beautiful (but still under construction) and new dorms are being built.
-Food carts are kind of becoming a thing downtown.

          LOL!

In all seriousness though, go to CKA and sit in at least half-a-dozen different seats in various spots in the arena in the fold-down seat sections (not the "benches"). The IBA seats will suddenly feel like La-Z-Boys.

I really, really, really miss the one in Hutchinson. Now it's a Subway.

I had a meeting in OKC a month ago and happened to come across a Grandy's so I stopped there for lunch. I was pretty excited about it...although after eating the meal, while it didn't suck by any means, my memory obviously had faded as to its quality. IMO, it was another Popeye's/KFC/Church's type place. Again, it was decent food....just not top-notch.

I will say that I did enjoy going to the Grandy's near the Wichita Mall back when I was a kid.

crazy horse. they made a great steak.

sounds like the city has changed a lot. since I am a Old, I'd say its changed for the worse with a few exceptions.

Now, if somebody tells me Angela Bebe went and got fat and ugly, i'll cast a vote to nuke the place.

Since I've moved (2007) I miss The Warren, QT, WSU basketball, Bionic Burger, River City Brewery, Chinese buffets on every corner, and an easy rush hour.

I don't miss scorching hot summers, fat chicks, and complaining as a competitive sport.

"fat chicks"? We now have a plethora of Genesis Health Clubs.

2 of my 3 kids came along...not sure how that happened, but I'm thankful for them for sure.
