Not quite in the movie genre, but I think the BBC Sherlock series is on Netflix. One of my favorite shows ever. Never thought I would like it as much as I did.

It is popular enough that I'm not sure if it counts as obscure, but if talking about it serves to get someone who wasn't familiar with it to watch, I'm all for it being in this thread. One of the best shows out there. Smart writing, good acting. I've enjoyed the Robert Downey Jr. films, but Sherlock is still hands down the best Holmes adaptation ever made (and frankly, better than the original material IMHO, which I am rereading at the moment).

My niece turned me onto Sherlock this summer. I'd never heard of the BBC version but have watched Elementary. Loved Sherlock. Have since then watched a number of BBC shows on Netflix this summer and enjoyed a number of them.

As far as the movies go, I haven't had a chance to watch any yet, but I love "discovering" music/movies that aren't necessarily popular. So I'll be checking a few of these out soon.
Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan
        RIP Guy Always A Shocker
Carpenter Place - A blessing to many young girls/women
ICT S.O.S - Great local cause fighting against human trafficking
Wartick Insurance Agency - Saved me money with more coverage.
Save Shocker Sports - A rallying cry

Really like the show, but have difficulty understanding all of the conversation.

My Way on Netflix is an excellent Korean-made movie about a couple of Koreans during World War II. If you can get through the subtitles, it is an excellent story about how they eventually end up on opposite sides of the battlefield.

The kids use Netflix all the time, I watch Adam-12, Cheers and things like that. I just watched Back to School on Netflix. I wish, and maybe it's available somewhere, that there was a list on everything Netflix is streaming.
You have COX for your cable provider ??? If so, check out channels 670 & 675 ... should be free but not too many ppl realize they have them. They play Adam 12, Dragnet, I dream of , bewitched, partridge family, munsters, etc.

I'm all over those! My wife gets sick and tired of me watching, oh well...
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

I'd say anything on BBC still counts as obscure. Top Gear is insanely popular, but I still think the vast majority of Americans have never heard of it.

Oh, and Kung Wu should definitely watch Old Boy while he's checking out foreign flicks. It's heartwarming and charming, like a modern day Miracle on 34th Street.

If you like Sci-Fiction, you might want to catch the 14 episodes of "Firefly" on Netflix.

It's an American space western drama TV series from the 2002/03 era and takes place 500 years in the future with a renegade crew aboard a small space craft.

Apparently it did not catch on and was taken off the air. But shortly thereafter, it suddenly gained cult status and diehard fans tried to get it re-instated. The attempt failed, but they did make a full length feature film, entitled, "Serenity" with most of the same cast, also available on Netflix.

Part of its problem is that Fox really screwed up the show in a number of ways, including showing the episodes out of order when they aired. It's one of my favorite shows of all time.

I can't even watch the US version. I went into it with low expectations, and it was still garbage.
