Starting to wonder if this thing is busting or just late arriving. Snow showing up on radar but not doing anything where I'm at.

What I read this morning is it's supposed to hit this afternoon. The fear was that people would wake up and see nothing and then be out when it hits later. Radar does seem to show it just sitting to the West a bit. I'm not a weather nerd like others on here, but I keep seeing a lot of alerts from different sources and still predicting 8+ inches of snow in this area. I guess we'll find out in about 3 hours if this is for real or not.

Looks to me like everything is falling apart in Kansas - the one from the west and the one from the south - but I am definitely not a weatherman (watch, it will start coming down now).

How about we become and remain thankful for the precipitation. I'm sorry for those that may need to travel and/or work in hazardous weather conditions, but the "greater good" is that we need moisture. Also, who are we really to moan and whine about how it comes about?
"Ralph Miller was one of the finest coaches in the history of intercollegiate basketball. His teams were always fundamentally sound, team oriented, well conditioned, and ran both their offense and defense with great patience. I know of no coach whose teams competed against his, whether it be at Wichita State, Iowa, or Oregon State, who did not have great respect for him."—John Wooden

It's more than a bit now. It's coming down pretty good. I think we can officially say that it's begun.

Not big here in eastern Sedgwick, but a whole lot of them.

Sorry I got busy. People trying to get their business taken care of before it got worse. Flakes have gotten bigger the last 5 to 10

Flakes were huge about an hour ago. We got sent home at 2 although I don't really know why. Roads are fine. The temperature has been hovering at 33 or 34 all day. That will kill off snow accumulations pretty quickly.

                        ... No really, deuces.

Not going to be nearly as bad as feared, but you aren't going to hear me complain about moisture in any form.

This is the hardest snow I have ever seen in Kansas.
