2008 Royals - Spring Training

Royals reassigned RHP Brian Lawrence to minor league camp; optioned LHP Tyler Lumsden to Triple-A Omaha; optioned RHP Carlos Rosa to Double-A Northwest Arkansas.
Lawrence had a 6.43 ERA in seven innings this spring. He'll likely join Lumsden, Mike Maroth and perhaps Luke Hochevar in Omaha's rotation to begin the year.

I'm kinda pulling for hochevar to get in the rotation. Even if he doesn't I think he'll stay in KC. He's done pretty well so far. I'd like to see him and Bale be the 4 and 5 guys right now.

It's tough seeing Sweeney in anything but a Royals uniform. Now that he's gone he'll probably stay healthy all year and hit .290 with 15 HRs and 90 RBI in 150 games for the A's.

I hope he makes it and does well. Just as long as he has his off nights against KC. I'm not sure you'll find a better man in all of sports than Sweeney.
