Whatever hell this scumbag is suffering in, something tells me it's not nearly enough. Even the faith of our All Mighty comforting those poor children's souls isn't helping...and I know it should, but it doesn't.

Perhaps there is some solace to be taken in the fact he did kill himself....I have to think many people would be trying to take matters, rightfully so, in their own hands, perhaps even worsening the tragedy.

May God have mercy on all of us.
    I'm personally in a rage. I can't sit still.

I'm going to the range tonight to polish up my skills with my armor piercing conceal-carry pistol.

Lord help us? How about Lord help those kids.. oops. That didn't happen. The Lord ain't stoppin' these school shootings. Smith & Wesson is the prescription for that.

We are not talking about "demon-possessed" psychopaths committing these crimes. These are selfish, lazy, undisciplined, "me" type individuals with "I don't give a ****" attitudes. This type of person, born in the last couple decades, is much more common than you would ever imagine. I believe there are literally hundreds of thousands of young adults in America willing and able to commit something very similar to this in the future. Just go find an internet forum populated by young people and you will find people laughing about this incident. We have a very sick society and it won't get better. The only cure is to take out the trash and to do that each and every one of us needs to be prepared. I know I am and I won't hesitate.

I am also reminded of this speech at times like these
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kickass ... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

Would you believe that the national average for officer involved shootings actually hitting their target is around 30%? Many cops shoot once a year to qualify and that's it. Some don't even clean their firearms until they break. The idea that cops are experts with firearms is an urban legend.

Also, you can't assign police officers to every school, that is simply too cost prohibitive. And what would one cop do in a large school anyway? We need multiple teachers who are trained and armed spread across the school. How many school shootings are we going to endure before someone takes serious action? Do you think this is the last one?

The idea of armed guards standing in our schools is wayyy too police state. This is America. Our constitution affords us the opportunity to defend ourselves with any means necessary. It's time we start doing so.

Not wanting to politicize this but teacher's unions would simply not allow your plan to ever even sniff the light of day.

Also, police state? I would feel pretty frickin safe sending my kids to a school with two or three MPs around with 11 years of crisis experience. Look at how you felt when you went into the airports after 9/11 and now compare them to the fat ass, unprofessional TSA agents who have no authority anyway.

I don't even have kids yet but I'm just picturing if it were my nieces' schools. I can't even imagine the despair and pain the parents of those children are going though. I honestly just can't even watch it before it makes me either downright sad or downright, incredibly angry. Just when you think the world has given you a sick image, then a sicker one comes along...

Cold is damn right. Society nowadays is awful. A lot of it stems from bad parenting. You just have to wonder how society can degrade to the point of killing innocent school children. Cold is also right that there are random internet forums out there where people are laughing at the incident or giving props to the pussyass killer. How do you cure a society that is that f*cked up?

I wish the news media would stop including the shooter in any reportings for any of these types of crimes. Stop making these ******* celebrities. You can talk about the victims, but stop with the 24/7 **** with the low-life scum of the earth killers. It makes we want to punch a hole through the tv screen.

They say this nutjob has Aspergers. While left untreated, the form of autism can be problematic, many people with Aspergers lead normal lives with the right medicine and therapy. So I hope all people with Aspergers aren't labeled as potential serial killers by the media. Here is an interesting thread on an autistic message board discussing this:

Let's face it: children are slaughtered and intentionally starved to death every day in this world and if it doesn't impact you directly, most people don't give it a second thought. It's sad and embarrassing, but this is an everyday occurrence in parts of Africa and the Middle East. How much sleep do we lose over those poor innocent kids? This is a me society, what's good for me, and we are all guilty of it to some extent. Cold is right, it's not improving with our youth either. It is sick and twisted to talk up this freak like he was some kind of martyr, but is apathy any better?

In china yesterday a man with a knife went into a school and slashed 22 children.

BEIJING (Reuters) - A knife-wielding man slashed 22 children and an adult at an elementary school in central China on Friday, state media reported, the latest in a series of attacks on schoolchildren in the country.

Yeah right... this piece of garbage had a "syndrome" exonerating him from the responsibility of his actions. *rolls eyes* This was no autistic outburst, this was a carefully planned, premeditated assassination by a person that took the time to get all dressed up in tactical gear and who expertly used complicated weaponry to mow down little children.

Had this waste of space been caught, he should have been interrogated until he was bleeding out of his eyes and ears, and then slow-cooked over a bonfire shish kabob style (think Vlad the Impaler).

That's my point. The media is jumping all over this form of disorder, so all now will be labeled because of it. Same thing with Columbine. One of the killers was supposed to be taking the anti depressant Luvox. Whether he was actually taking it or not, no one knows. But lo and behold, anyone else taking Luvox was suddenly branded a potential danger and/or the drug quit getting prescribed.

Most autistic people don't have a malevolent bone in their body. But watch what the media does with this.

And by the way, I disagree with your fat people argument. It may be okay for you to be three bills and have a 50" waist if you are defending yourself. But if you are charged with the responsibility of defending others, you need to be able to move and shoot. A little rapid reaction skill is helpful.

In a perfect world we would have public schools filled with Schwarzenegger look-alike teachers all with quick access to a security safe housing a double-action-only pistol stored in condition 2. In reality I'm just hoping that a few teachers - period - would be allowed to arm themselves. If the fat football coach volunteers to practice his marksmanship a couple times a year, he is in my opinion suitable to return fire at a potential terrorist. His bullets will be travelling at 1,200 fps so speed on his part will not be as important as aim. The more teachers that are armed, the less any of them needs to be mobile hence my earlier recommendation of having one assigned teacher per hallway per floor to be armed.

I think principles should definitely consider having quick access to a firearm considering the flack they receive from students. They are many times a target in threats.

I don't disagree with you. But with the left controlling the teachers unions, it will never happen. Look how hard it was to get pilots armed.
