Who the 'F' kills kids?

The media is reporting all the guns the suspect used were registered to his mother. In addition, there were more firearms at her home as well (all registered to her and legally owned).
My question is, although I feel badly for the deceased mother, what the F was she thinking as the media is reporting she had took her son out numerous times to the shooting range to fire these weapons. She certainly knew her son was not normal and had personality issues. Red flag anyone?

My son is in second grade. My biggest worry has been whether or not he will find out Santa is not real.
I cannot imagine losing him. Or him witnessing children being murdered. Those children will never be the same.Marge: The plant called and said that if you don't come in tomorrow, don't bother coming in Monday.
Homer: WOOHOO! Four day weekend.

This kid was as sane as you or me and as sober as a whore in church. He's just a shining example of the entitlement generation with an extra twist of dangerous pathology.
The mother is lucky she is dead because if she was alive, she should be prosecuted for allowing her dumbass son access to "her" firearm collection. Then again, the kid was over 18 so I guess she wouldn't be legally responsible. Well she's responsible in my book.

The kid's mom had money to burn (she received nearly 300k a year from her ex-husband), so she took her spoiled kid to the gun range and fulfilled all his Call of Duty fantasies by being able to shoot a real "M15". Then when he got bored, or mad, or both, he decided to go shoot some little kiddos just for fun.

You forgot Sony and Microsoft. They are obviously responsible for teaching him it is ok to go into a public place and shoot people with no consequences. And the companies that make the games, and the people that work for all those companies.
And it is Congresses fault for allowing these games to be made. They should be illegal. But stores still sell them, so KMart and Sears and Best Buy are also responsible. Then the shareholders of all those stores should also be held accountable for requiring profits that result from selling these games.
In that case, the Stock Exchanges should be held responsible as well as they encourage the buying of these companies stock creating more pressure to make money.
I could keep going to the 401k's that invest in these companies, and the people who allow them to do that.
The problem with America is that they want a connect the dots to someone or something to blame for everything that happens. There is no more personal accountability. Everything is someone else's fault.
Except Car makers. They seem to be exempt. But if we are going to hold gunmakers and gun owners responsible for what people do with them, then we should also hold carmakers responsible. The next time a man or woman kills someone by driving drunk, we should ban all automobiles. Only police and emergency responders should have them. That will stop the senseless deaths that outnumber gun related deaths 75,000 to 1.Last edited by Downtown Shocker Brown; December 16, 2012, 12:34 PM.

The media going overboard with this thing, like they do, has already brilliantly helped the introduction of copycat threats to the church in Newton, Connecticut. It's just so freaking annoying. I effing HATE the media. They are about as problematic as the deranged lunatic who shot up the school. STOP WITH THE ATTENTION.
The only time I'm seeing this stuff is when I open up my web browser, which is defaulted to yahoo, and I glance at the front page. I'm refusing to watch any news stations or hunting down any internet news articles of this. They just love making the scumshit a celebrity.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

I have to disagree with part of what you said.
Very very few games focus on killing innocent people. Is there an overabundance of violent games? Absolutely. I feel the rating system in place (PEGI) should actually be enforced, and access to said games be restricted to adults. I understand this would be difficult to implement in this digital era we're in, but something should be done.
Beyond that, I think blaming video games and media is a cop-out. We heard the same stuff in the 80's as it pertains to music. Did Metallica, Marilyn Manson, and 2-Pac cause people to go on killing sprees? Probably not. Did Natural Born Killers cause people to go on multi-state massacres? I doubt it. Did the combination of all these things contribute to a culture of violence? Maybe.
Maybe I'm naive, but I believe a rational, clear thinking person could not commit heinous acts such as these. I think a rational thinking person would accept all of the various forms of media as is.
Now as far as gun control goes, I won't lie....I'm torn. On one hand, I own several firearms, including the exact same model of AR15 reported used in the attacks. Do I enjoy firing the guns on private property and at ranges? For sure! At the same time I can't help but wonder what could have been done to limit this guy's access to deadly weapons. Apparently the firearms used in the attacks were registered to his mother, who from many accounts was a "prepper". On one hand, I too possess my weapons as a means of security for my family.
I'm afraid there are more questions than answers.

You have two choices:
1) You better arm the undefended.
2) You make the more than 300 million firearms in the country magically disappear over night and put up an invisible shield around the country's borders guaranteeing that no more arms can come in.
If you choose number one, you lower victimization and keep the country's lawful citizens armed as the founding fathers said they should be.
If you choose number two, you end up with some severely bad ass knife-wielding mofo's amongst the country's various gangs of which citizens will have to defend themselves from with a bat (if they happen to have one on them at the time). You also disable the millions of hunters who control the overpopulation of game herds which can spread some nasty diseases as well as damage billions of dollars in crops, land, and farm animals.
Of course this speaks nothing of the military and police force guns which would have to be made to magically disappear as well, because some would invariably make their way onto the streets the moment the drug gangs started paying fifty thousand dollars a piece for one. This would pretty much eliminate ground troops in U.S. military forces unless they want to wield bats and knives.
I think I've said enough, but I should just briefly mention that if there ever was an effort to confiscate all the weapons of the American people, you would probably see areas of the U.S. (especially the southern half) fall into civil war.

I don't really know where the acid-contained leaf blower technique came from, perhaps I was channeling some of your creativity Kung? Hell, you could take out a dozen kids just driving a van into a playground at high speed during recess. In our sick world, the opportunities are truly limitless.
