Yeah it kinda sucks the coin flip might have cost us as there seem to be 3-4 solid top picks then after that its kinda gray. I think best case now either McFadden or QB Ryan are there at #5 and someone later doesn't want to risk missing them and trades up so KC gets an add'l pick and still gets their OT in the first round.

Is KC even looking at WR's? In the last week Robert Ferguson signed for a mil, Bryant Johnson from AZ signed for a couple mil, and DJ Hackett signed for 3.5 for 2 years. Was KC a contender for any of these guys? I would hope at those prices they would have, but with their QB situation do no WR's want to consider KC? I'm bummed those guys went that cheap and KC couldn't get one of em.

yea i agree, im worried if he isnt there we are gonna reach and take clady, when we could just trade back and grab him around 10th or so. But if we are gonna stick at 5 and long is gone when need to get either Ellis or dorsey. Because OT is a very deep this year, we will get a quality OT in 2nd round.

interesting article, here aparently Herm and new OC chan Gaileyl were out Boston College's pro day to check the draft top QB Matt Ryan. I guess we are one of five teams that have a private workout with him. It may just be a smokescreen but who knows, if he is there and they feel he is a upgrade over brodie then im all for it.

I still think drafting him would be a mistake. I'm not all that crazy about any QB in this draft anyway. But nobody could have success behind the line we had and at this very moment it's worse than it was. That HAS to be the primary focus. If Long isn't available at 5 you draft Clady. Either there or trade down a few spots and grab him. As long as they don't trade down too far and screw it up and miss him.

Been awhile since anyone has posted on this thread, so I figured I'd bump it with this absolutely random post about a Chiefs practice squad member:

Omar Jacobs is currently playing for the Florence Phantoms of the American Indoor Football Association.
It's basically a minor league AFL. Leading up to the 2006 draft, Jacobs was considered a first-round prospect by some. He was taken in the fifth round by the Steelers and has never been on an active game-day roster.

Sportscenter had a Chiefs Draft preview. They say what i have been saying all along. Even tho we have bigger needs else where at OT , CB, and maybe QB, if a impact player like Glenn Dorsey is still there, then there is no way you can pass him up. They also said ifthe chiefs think Ryan is a franchise type guy and he is still on the board, then that is almost too good to pass up, because they didnt think Brodie is the long term answer.

IMO clady is defenity not a top 5 pick, hell i dont think he is a top 10 pick. If there is no way we can trade down, then we need to get one of the DT.

I've seen some who say he'd be great at 5 and others that rank him ahead of Long. LT is the most important position to draft this year and a guy like Clady can come in and start and help solidify the worst part of last years team.
