I've always said Wichita has a bubble around it for thunderstorms. I'm skeptical anything will happen

I’ve learned to wait about 12 hours before anything is scheduled to take place before taking anything too seriously. Tomorrow will be less severe. Saturday has potential. That’s all I’m gonna say.

    Russian disinformation.

If nothing else, it appears that we may at least get a fair amount of rain the next few days. One can hope anyway.

South Central Kansas is moving into a flash drought with continual missed moisture. The Storm Prediction Center has flagged late next Week, Thursday through Saturday. But GFS projected rainfall totals over the next three weeks don't look like they will likely help SC Kansas.

Eureka had a near miss of direct hit by tornado from the storms that moved through the Wichita area. There was a no doubt tornado velocity signature.

Top-end storm potential also means high bust potential. But as they have been saying, this will be a nocturnal event, so the main event will probably be after midnight. They issued a tornado watch to the west, where nothing is going on because storms would likely go severe quickly if they did go up.

The worst thing is if (and that is big if) we get storms tonight, it will be in the early morning hours, and there will still be tornado potential. I would just like about 0.5" of rain.
