                • Lots of injured, several believed dead in Mobile home park in S Wichita. I assume it is the one documented in Travis' photos

                  • I'm on the northwest side in an apartment complex. When the tornado reports were coming from the Haysville/Oaklawn/McConnell area, we went outside our 3rd story balcony to look southeast and saw a horizontal vortex feeding into it. It was definitely rotating horizontally. One of the craziest things I've ever seen. The city lights were illuminating it perfectly. The lightning was also able to capture substantial storm structure. Tried to record the horizontal vortex but I don't think it picked up too well in the dark. Absolutely amazing. Couldn't believe that happened and from that far away. Just evidence to how volatile the atmosphere was today, even without major heating.

We won't have a clear view on damage til morning, but it sounds like the storm peaked in intensity just south of Wichita, specifically in Sumner, Harper, and Woodward counties. We may have lucked out in that regard.

Hope everyone is safe. And please don't onlook at this time. They'll be plenty of time to gawk after emergency vehicles clear everything out. You can't see anything at night anyways.

                    ... No really, deuces.

Where are you hearing potential fatalities from? What source?

If it's the old palace at Kellogg and Greenwich it sounds like it got hit hard.
