I am a master at using their analytics against them so they never show up on my feed after they are released as new material. Find anything that has to do with social justice or the environment or political corruption and downvote it (unless you find it interesting) and you will see less and less of it show up as a viewing option.

There are enough series on Netflix that I like (mainly the ones not in English) that I keep it.

I have no issues with Netflix. They offer a lot of original content that doesn't shove woke values at you and still has a good selection of other options. I also don't pay for it and probably won't as they keep raising their prices and may be the most expensive one at this point that doesn't offer live TV.

I do like HBO Max, but don't watch it a ton. It's part of my ATT phone plan.

Prime has some good original content and I'm hoping for more with their acquisition of MGM. They also have a nice selection of other options. I also don't pay for it.

I watch Tubi and Pluto quite a bit. Good amount of options and they're free. Just discovered Pluto and they have a channel dedicated to my favorite series of all time. So that's nice.

I pay for Hulu as my TV source and they have some good original content. That's why I've kept them over going back to YTTV. I watch a lot of on demand TV series that I missed when they came out. So it works.

I've been tempted to check out Apple, but I'm not a big Apple fan and really need more than Ted Lasso to pay for it.

Not sure what else is out there. I can live without most of these if necessary.

Nothing like Bob Barker on Pluto, throw in an old Happy Days episode (before Fonzie jumped the shark) and close it out with a Jerry Springer or two. Awesome!
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

I doubt it's Netflix woke agenda. My guess is that actually brought in dozens of new subscribers.

Coincidentally, those woke folks that like the programming are probably the same people sharing passwords that they are going to crack down on. Catch 22 again for Netflix.

The big headline for the NFLX earnings report was the 200K drop in subscribers. But if you look at the numbers, they added 500K but lost 700K when they quit doing business in Russia. I imagine a lot of other companies will have bad earnings due to Russia as well. But I think they would have had issues anyway due to the increased competition from all the other streaming services out there now and people probably getting tired of all the expenses of having multiple services and cutting back to just a few.

IMDB.tv is pretty good. Amazon owns it and if you have a Fire TV then it's bundled in with it. If you don't or just want to watch it over the web, I think you just need to have an Amazon account to login and watch.

Regular YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/movies - has a lot of free movies that come with ads.

RedBox - https://www.redbox.com/ - still has their kiosk's around, but have moved to streaming as well. They have paid plans but also a lot that you can watch for free.

Here are some others, such as Crackle and Sling Free - https://www.tomsguide.com/best-picks...aming-services

CNN is shutting down their streaming service, CNN+, after just one month - https://www.cnbc.com/2022/04/21/cnn-...urces-say.html

WarnerMedia launched the stand-alone news service less than a month ago on March 29. It had garnered fewer than 10,000 daily active viewers about two weeks after its launch, CNBC reported last week. The company said customers will receive prorated refunds on subscription fees.

IMDb has Night Court, which I am happily watching right now! Love that old show.

Night Court was a great show. That's where the justwatch web site comes in handy - https://www.justwatch.com/us/tv-show/night-court - it'll tell you who may be showing it. I've used it in the past to find some things that I had to go to Tubi and Pluto to watch. One was a web series on Yahoo that Ben Stiller produced called Burning Love and it's a spoof of the Bachelor tv show and is on Pluto (https://www.justwatch.com/us/tv-show/burning-love).

Speaking of spoofs, Documentary Now is a great show - https://www.justwatch.com/us/tv-show/documentary-now It's on the IFC channel and Bill Hader and Fred Armisen do spoofs on various documentaries. Most of the streaming services will let you watch a few shows of it from each season, but sometimes you can find where they'll do a Documentary Now marathon.
