In case I wasn’t clear;
Sex is biological. Gender is a social construct. There are differences between men and women and men and women aught to be able to congregate in a group based on those differences, whether that be athletic, relational, or when in the nude.
Being a biological male that identifies as a female does not mean that you are a biologic female. It means that you are a biologic male that identifies as a female. I have no issues with a man that believes himself to be a female. I will address said person as a female if he looks female, or even if he doesn’t, but asks politely. I won’t support that individual participating in a female only group based on identity.
Also, men’s rights activists need to stop bitching about ladies night. Cheap drinks and no cover for women virtually guarantees a high female to male ratio. Paying extra for such an event is a win!

This becomes more real every minute. I still would like to understand what a jury is doing deciding a custody case. I’ve never heard of that. And even if it’s a Texas thing.....let’s be honest for a minute. No way more than 1 in 10 thinks it’s ok to transition a 7 year old to a girl, no way no how. Frankly I don’t think it’s 1 in 1000 but let’s say it’s 1 in 10. 11 of 12 are siding with her? What are the odds? Got to be in the millions. I don’t think we’re hearing everything, it makes zero sense. I pray this innocent child is somehow saved.Comment

The mother made the initial filing to request that they amend their existing Joint Management Conservatorship for their twin sons. Under this agreement the mother had complete authority over psychological care decisions for the boys. She was required to inform Mr. Younger of her decisions, but he did not have any say in her choice of care.Originally posted by WuDrWu View Post

From what I understand the father filed a counter-petition to give him Sole Managing Conservatorship and requested the jury trial on that point. This was not just for James, but also for his twin brother who apparently is not being transitioned.
The jury did rule that one of the parents should be Sole Managing Conservator – but that it shouldn’t be Mr. Younger. The judge would rule on all the the petitions made by the mother whch include the following:
Dr. Georgulas is asking the court to:- Limit the father’s consecutive overnight possession of both children and/or make his visits with the boys supervised if he fails to “affirm” James as a girl (“Luna”);
- Enjoin Mr. Younger from engaging in non-affirming behavior and/or taking “Luna” outside the home as James or allowing others to do so;
- Modify Mr. Younger’s possession on school nights when there are school-related activities that may occur during the boys’ stay with him;
- Order the father to attend pro-transgender counseling and/or educational classes;
- Enjoin Mr. Younger from signing James up for activities as James or referring to his son with male pronouns at any activity outside the home;
- Enjoin the father from allowing James and Jude to remain in the presence of anyone who does not use James’ transgender name “Luna” or female pronouns, or who is otherwise not “affirming” of the seven-year-old’s transgender identity.
Obviously, this doesn't answer the question as to what we are missing. But clearly something is seriously amiss here.

Some good news (I think) in the 7-year old gender transiition case:

Looks like the Judge overruled the jury decision if the reporting in this article is accurate. James and his twin brother will remain under a Jountly Managed Conservatorship and Dad gets a say in whether or not James is transitioned to a "female".
I suspect the political pressure from the Governor and Attorney General probably came into play here.
One interesting aspect of this case was that it really never found any traction with the "mainstream" media.The larger implications of today’s decision on public policy and the debate over the transgender movement and its activist political efforts remain to be seen.

What we're missing ....
The mother has convinced three mental health professionals that her son is suffering from gender dysphoria.
She has been dressing this kid in dresses and sending him to school that way, and has his teachers and students calling him Luna on a daily basis.
So .... now let's jump to court ...
I am sure at the trial the jury heard the testimony or has seen evidence of testimony from three doctors all making the same claim -- that he suffers from gender dysphoria. But here's the deal -- his mom is a doctor. She knows exactly how to convince, or rather steer, other doctors into agreeing with her that he has gender dysphoria. At this point he probably DOES have gender dysphoria -- completely initiated by his own mother.
They also may have heard from school teachers who say he goes by Luna and dresses like a girl at school -- but again that's self-serving from the mother -- she started it at whatever grade -- based on results from one of the mental health professionals, and of course they are going to do whatever she asks.

A couple of points from this article:
Originally, a jury decision had recommended a sole conservatorship and that it not be Mr. Younger in charge. This would have put all decision making power in the hands of his mother, who insanely admitted in court that she decided James was really a girl after he took a liking to a McDonald’s toy.
It should also be noted that the mother admitted in court she wasn’t even the boy’s biological mother, instead having him via donor eggs. This may have played a role in the decision.
There is some confusion about the details of this rulings that trace back to the original jury decision. It appears the judge overruled the jury in this case, but RedState can not confirm that without more information. We’ll be sure to pass that along when it is available.
What we do know is that this certainly appears to be good news compared to what the expectations were originally.
Still hard to understand how a jury ended up voting 11-1 to give total control to the mother?

The publicity from this case can't be very good for Dr. Georgulas' pediatric medical practice. What semi-rational parent would want to take a chance on potentially exposing their child to this kind of crap.Comment
