I looked at her picture on the Bradley web site and unless the side effects of steroid use is much worse than I thought then I don't think this girl is Barry Bonds.

Perhaps her size (5'2") and her power numbers (1 home run on the year) were just too intimidating for Coach Pooch.

I was on my way to check her stats myself when I found your post. I was expecting a minimum of eight or so home runs. The entire team only has four!

Right now, every pitching management decision is turning out to be wrong. As I have claimed in another thread, pitching decisions are the most difficult part of game management, but this run - bring in the reliever and it does not work, leave in the starter and does not work - is just unbelievable.

Coach Pooch's decision making is that of a Coach who knows he has very little margin for error and he is taking chances maybe he would not if he had more confidence in his team. The team can probably sense this lack of confidence by the Coach which may contribute to their own lack of confidence.

I have no doubt the girls are giving it everything they have, but unless you really believe in yourself and your teammates that my not be enough.

OTOH, after re-reading my post I think I am full of cow chips!
As for confidence, I think back to the Indiana State game where we had a 7-2 lead in the 6th and Kasha gives up a 2 out RBI bloop single and Pooch literally went balistic in the dugout. Talk about teaching your team to hit the panic button. I believe that a team is a reflection of the coach and this team has certainly been proving that.
