yes, there are coaches elsewhere that make you work harder and are tougher on you, but these girls were not used to that - they were used to a very soft coach in jane albright. to make such an immediate transition to someone who pushes their players so hard and ask so much of them, that can be a little hard to handle - and we're just talking about on the court here, none of has have any idea as to what personal issues off the court these girls may be dealing with as well

We probably should just let it drop and support the team the best we can.
Hopefully, things will stabilize going forward.

Wow. I'm not sure what to think about Val and Jacie leaving. I wonder if Val is now done with basketball? Is it worth it to go to another school and sit out another year just so she can play as a SR?Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan
RIP Guy Always A Shocker
Carpenter Place - A blessing to many young girls/women
ICT S.O.S - Great local cause fighting against human trafficking
Wartick Insurance Agency - Saved me money with more coverage.
Save Shocker Sports - A rallying cry

I have no harmful or derogatory rumors to post, but I view the matter as a coach, who is cleaning out the barn.
We now have a fresh page one of the new culture.
As my Daddy used to say, "If you can't get it, you can't stay." And he meant it.
By "get it", he meant work hard to get the work done."Prediction is very difficult, especially if it is about the future."

I am not close to the program at all although I have had several conversations with Jody and her staff. In all my dealings with her, every single one, I have been monumentally impressed.
Until I personally see facts that state otherwise, I am going to assume that these changes had to be made and as a "manager", Jody had to make these tough decisions.
Obviously, as Bob Lutz said on his show this morning, mass exodus is not a good sign, ever. But again, until I hear otherwise, I'll side with the Coach and wish the young ladies good health, happiness and success wherever they end up.

I may offend some folks here, but I'm willing to risk it.
If this were happening in a men's program, it would be a sign of bad things going on, IMO. However, women are a different animal altogether. ;)
1. You probably aren't going to find the huge, huge gap in coaching styles among males then what appears to have been the gap between Albright and Adams. I can see where Albright's methods would be MUCH more comfortable.
2. Men, being thinkers first, can often put their feelings aside and understand, perhaps even respect, their coach when the two don't agree on how to arrive at the same goal. I think men are more inclined to have a mutual respect for one another.
3. Women, on the other hand, have trouble compartmentalizing their feelings in order to see past them. It festers, not in the back of their minds, but front and center, affecting their decisions and behavior. This can cause irreconciliable differences.
Yes, I recognize there are exceptions to these "rules" and I blame none of the related parties for what has led to the current situation.
For me, there is still enough doubt that Coach Adams deserves the benefit.
