Having a full year to recruit players is vastly different than coming in and trying to nab a player with only a week or two of recruiting.

No one has ever said there aren't good players left to sign in the spring. But you can't just swoop in and expect to get a commitment over schools that have been recruiting them for months or years. And you can't expect recruits that were being recruited to one school to suddenly be willing to follow a coach to another. And sometimes those players may not be as good of a fit at the "new" school.

Sure sounds like someone saying there aren't good players left to sign unless you consider lower talent means good.
