Not sure where you would find that info. There is just not a lot of recruiting info available for WBB. In any case, graduate transfers coming in for next year do nothing for our pig in the python problem. It just adds another senior to the already overcrowed senior class we have next year.

I would much, much prefer undergraduate transfers like Ericka Mattingly who would sit out next year and then have, in her case, 3 years of eligibility remaining beginning in 2018-19. A couple of Juco signings for next year would be okay. That would give us 3 seniors on the roster for 2018-19. I just don't know what's left on the grocery shelves at this point though.

Wichita Eagle report on Ericka Mattingly's situation and UTA's decision to block Ericka from attending Wichit State, Tulsa or ORU.

Certainly has the look a revenge move on the part of UTA. At best I would consider it petty.

Most of the time the School doesn't come out of these battles with a PR victory.

K-State put Leticia Romera through the ringer a few year's back before losing that battle and looking like real jerks in the process.

We will have to wait and see what happens to Ericka?

Silly move on their part. I could understand schools in their conference or other Texas schools, but not doing that makes them simply look bad. No doubt other schools will use this against UTA and their coach in recruiting battles. If you want to go home, they won't release you. If your from Texas and want to go home or play for someone else in Texas, they won't release you.

I have definitely thought about it, but in my case, I almost feel I better not, especially since I'm trying to get into the coaching profession too. Boy do I want to give them both a piece of my mind though.

I don't use twitter but if I did I would probably just retweet Jay Bilas' tweet on the issue.

Ericka Mattingly wants to transfer close to home, UT Arlington won't release her. Wrong. Student-Athlete welfare?

Maybe you can get a HC gig and beat the snot out of them on the court. If you can just run the score up on them 60+ points.

What they did has a really foul stench to it. Just so vindictive on their part. I can't believe someone would do something like that to a 19-year old homesick student athlete.

We will be playing in the same league as Tulsa beginning next year. Plus Tulsa has one of Ericka's former teammates and, from what I can tell, best friends on their team in Kendrian Elliott.

I doubt that ORU would have been in the mix. Tulsa was the one I was most concerned about. Turns out the one to be most concerned about was UTA.

I have no problem blocking a kid from transferring to a school in your conference or maybe even to another team that is on your schedule every year. Also if you have credible evidence that a school has been tampering you could also block that school. No such allegations have been made here. Otherwise, you are just being mean-spirited and vindictive. I would definitely use that against you in any recruiting battles.

                        • The NCAA really needs to address this kind of thing. I'm glad Bilas said something. Hopefully other respected individuals will follow.

                          • After this she should be allowed to not only transfer but be eligible immediately aswell

                            • I feel quite confident that this will be resolved. UTA will get the message, one way or the other.

She'll wear Shocker colors before it's all done.

                              • I think Tulsa will be our comp with her best friend playing there (Kendra Elliott), other than that we have better conference and location to combat. Here is to the hope she gets to be immediately eligible and can talk her friends into joining her (kiera rogers Hutchinson community college, and maybe get Kendra to transfer and they could be our big hometown 3
