Is the 7pm game with Houston still on? And is that the only other game for the ladies this weekend?
Next up for us is Houston at 2 pm. Ladies won't be back in action until next Saturday after that one.

      Live Stats

Flying Moose, yes I knew that that game 1 was on live stats today. What threw me though was that Game 2 yesterday was not on live stats for me, but it apparently was for some of you. And, whereas I watched live stats for game 1 today, they are not on now for Game 2 unless the game is not starting as advertized at 2 PM CST.

        Previous game:

        UCSB 7 Wright State 10

Top 7, Gauchos have the bases loaded, nobody out. May be awhile until the Shocks start.

Once the schedule changed, nobody in Houston updated the LiveStats links. I found the last game yesterday and first game today by scrolling through the crawl of scores and upcoming games (other games at GT-covered sites) at the very top of the screen.

The link for the (scheduled) 2pm game against Houston (UCSB and Wright State are in the top of the seventh at 222pm, and there will be a 30 minute break between games) is here and is actually the same as the original link for the 7pm Houston game at Tournament Central and on the Shocker site.

            Oh, my!!

230pm - The Gauchos score four in the top of the seventh to take a 12-10 lead. On to the bottom of the seventh. The Shocker game may not start until past my bedtime.

Wright State comes up in the bottom of the 7th, now trailing 12-10.

Big Mack with some special sauce with a 2-out bomb to left field to put the Shocks up 1-0 in the top of the 1st.

Katie Malone in the circle for the Shocks.

Game Four - Shockers at Houston

This game is available on Live Streaming for $9.95 monthly.

                    As expected, Katie has the start. There is a revamped lineup: Kelli-7, Mauriana-DP, Macklin-3, Paige-9, Madison-2, Laurie-6, Ryleigh-4, Mackenzie-5 and Ashley-8.

Macklin homers in the first for a 1-0 lead.

Lost the video feed with Houston having runners at 1st and 2nd and nobody out. By the time I got it back up Houston had a runner on 2nd and 2 outs. Apparently, a 5-3 double play. I am assuming a grounder to 3rd for the unassisted force at 3rd and the throw to 1st for the DP.

The Cougars get two on (single, bunt single) to start the bottom of the first, but a third-to-first DP started by Mackenzie helps Katie escape the early jam.

Shocks lead 1-0 after one complete.

Shocks tack on another run in the 2nd with an excellent job of small ball to go up 2-0. 1-out single to CF, sac bunt, 2-out single to RF.

                            A bit strange ...

Laurie gets a one-out single and then Ryleigh bunts her to second. That puts Laurie in scoring position, but with two outs. Mackenzie has the hot bat, and HCKB wanted to make sure Ryleigh did not hit into a force out? (Ryleigh is hitless so far this weekend.)

Whatever. It worked as Mackenzie gets the RBI single for a 2-0 Shocker lead after one and a half.

And the score still stands after three complete. Katie has not allowed a baserunner after the first two Cougar batters of the game.
